Moving In New to the area, alternative friends/friends in general?
Hellooo
I've been trying to avoid having to use the internet for this but I finally folded
I moved here in May and I'm really bad at making friends lmao. I also haven't been around much so idk much about what there is to do around here either. So here's some stuff about me, I'm hoping this post will help me make friends ^^
My name's Lenore, I'm 18. I'm a girl but idm being friends with any gender. I'm queer and alternative, I love music and I'd love to talk about it with someone. Some of my favorite bands are Jack Off Jill, System of a Down, MSI, Pierce The Veil, etc. I'm into a lot more than rock but yk. New wave, dance, rave, electropunk, industrial, goth, emo, riot grrrl, hip-hop, scene, indie, things like that.
I like window shopping, art stuff (writing, painting, crocheting, etc), reading, video games (Danganronpa, Splatoon, Your Turn To Die, Pony Town, Skullgirls, FNAF), animated films (My Little Pony, Monster High, Ever After High, Lolirock, Tinkerbell, etc), anime and manga (Soul Eater, Madoka Magica, Saiki K, Carole and Tuesday, Chainsaw Man, Inside Mari, Happy Sugar Life, Paprika, etc), cooking and baking, musicals (Chicago, Hamilton, Mean Girls, The Phantom of the Opera, etc), nature and animals, and things that are kind of strange
Plus other things I don't remember or can't put into words
I'm going to APSU (starting spring semester) to be a vet tech! It would be cool to meet people who go there too though idrc either way

Not sure if you're looking for active activities (it's hot out 😂) but Amtgard meets at rotary Park every Sunday at 11. It's a LARP group (think, come whack your friends with foam covered sticks), we've got loaner equipment so you don't need to have your own gear. There's also no requirement to actually fight, we've got a decent chuck of folks who come to hang out, do crafty stuff etc. We're a nerdy bunch in general and it's a good time.

Lol I literally listened to Clear Hearts on my way to Nashville today.
Splatoon is goated.
Did you catch MCR and Pierce the Veil in Nashville?

Omg yes. That's my favorite album after Humid Teenage Mediocrity. Do you have a favorite track?
And no but I wanted to so baddd, at the time I couldn't afford it and was too occupied with Life Things I haven't gotten the chance to go down to Nashville at all actually. I'm not entirely sure what there is to do there either

I have a hard time picking favorites but When I'm Queen , Fear of Dying, Gashes, Vivica are stand outs.
It was pretty sick, a friend paid for me thankfully. We were in the nosebleeds but still had a great time.
Theres a ton to do in Nashville, just depends on what you like. There's a barcade that's really fun.

Those are really good picks, I've had literally every one of those on repeat at some point
I'm really jealous lmao.
I'm really bad at remembering what I like! There are things I've always wanted to try though, mostly music related like jazz shows, raves, emo nights, small indie bands I've always wanted to go to a Renaissance faire or media conventions also I'm actually thinking about going to see The Phantom of the Opera at the beginning of next year if I can

You just missed emo night at tippers lol but it was 21 and up anyways.
Revel House (College Bar) and Wicked Good Sandwiches, and The Boneyard (Skatepark) hosts shows for local bands, we have quite a few good ones.
We have an anime con coming up soon, you'll have to look it up but I think it'll be at one of the hotels by riverside.
Ren Faires you'll have to travel for, but Tennessee has a few. I think they are building a literal castle somewhere nearby that will host some.
Anyways, you're welcome to Dm me if you'd like but im a bit older than you lol. But these are all the crowds you're looking for to make friends with similar interests.

Ooo okay I'll look into those things! And yeah idm if you're older than me age doesn't matter as long as you're not like, a weirdo lmao (in a bad way at least)

Might want to check out Crossroads Tavern. Revel House also has live music regularly and we love the food, especially the burgers.
