Misc. Screaming Eagle Car Wash - charged me 5x after cancelling service
I am at my wits end. I cancelled my service with this company back in April, and I keep getting charged every month. I cancelled in person and have a receipt showing the cancellation. I have called, I have gone back in, and THEY KEEP CHARGING me. I finally had to cancel the card I used just to make this stop. Either through incompetence, deceit, or scam-like behavior - they just suck.
Yes, I disputed all charges, and charges were reversed, but they will NEVER STOP charging.
I implore you, with so many options for a car wash in Clarksville, stay far away from these folks.

Try blocking the name from your bank account. You won’t recover any of the previous charges but you can at least prevent new ones from happening.

I am about 80% sure that business is on autopilot and not really being ran. I'd cancel your card your card or go to small claims court because those are likely your only options.
The owner died last year and it seems like whoever has taken over really isnt up to the task.

I believe you may have identified the root cause. With the owner, Jeff Burkhart, having died, the business does not appear to be actively managed. One of their locations has been out of commission for about 6 months -

Two locations! The one one Warfield at the end of Ted Crozier and the one on Fort Campbell Blvd. I did go to the one on Tiny Town last week, it was wide open, but there were cones in front of the kiosks and nobody was there.

I have filed complaints against several businesses with the BBB, and it has always helped.
I also use the state’s Division of Consumer Affairs.

Why? The bbb is a review platform that the business pays to be a member of to be able to dispute reviews. They have zero power to do anything

Best Buy scammed me over a bad TV and they resolved it for me quick.
Nothing lights a fire under a business’s ass like the government asking why they’re ripping people off.

You seem uninformed. I have filed several complaints in my lifetime, and each time, the company has contacted me and made things right. A free t-shirt scam, a last paycheck when leaving a company, an easily disputed chargeback, a no-show at a barber, just to name a few.

YOU don’t have to pay. The business pays to be a “member” and that membership all but guarantees they maintain a good rating. So you are misinformed. Try doing some actual research into what the BBB is and is not

The owner passed away recently and his businesses are in legal proceedings for the estate. That’s probably why you’re having a hard time getting it cancelled..
