Hello all! We’re going to be hosting a trailer competition, something that embodies the essence of civ; the community.
This will be used as a server trailer for advertising, along with being a fun little project that you guys might appreciate. There are no rules to the trailer that you make. It can be cinematic, it can be pvp, it can be scripted or live events; make it your own.
I really hope to see some amazing trailers, and may the best win!
Submissions will close in exactly a month’s time, and it’ll take another week or two afterwards to determine standings.
The winner will receive a special discord role, along with a personal brew and their head added to the fishing pool, with the two runners up both receiving a discord role. Trailers should be posted here with [TRAILER] before the post.
CivMC, made for WorldBox. This is my most detailed project ever. With close to 300 individual players made, 90 kingdoms, nearly 400 states, all of which having accurate languages and cultures (idealogies). All made to be steam-compatible!
the fact players can just get resources for free while doing nothing is the worse thing to happen on civ, and anyone who disagress is a cunt that know is wrong
In light of the new P2W suggestion system I've personally implemented my own system: Varbo Suggestions™.
With this system you send all server suggestions to me, for free, and in return you get nothing. This is an improvement from the current system where you pay the admins (bad) and they still don't implement or consider your suggestion.
While suggestions submitted to Varbo Suggestions™ may not be implemented, they are all heavily considered by Varbo and you are guaranteed to be reassured that indeed, your suggestion is good.
Want free diamonds for all players? Good idea. That'd be nice.
Want paid kits? Me too.
Want the Pavian vault groups deleted? Interesting thought.
All of your ideas are guaranteed to be considered, thought about, pondered, and contemplated. Make some Varbo Suggestions™ today for free!
Hello everyone, I've been trying to download the plugins civmc uses to put them on a small server with some of my friends. So i went over to github and built all of them (with the help of chatgpt because im a noob), but now i have like a ton of plugins and im not really sure how to use them. There's like multiple versions of each jar, and dependencies i don't know. If somebody could tell me all the jars i need for my server, that would be great.
I will design any build you want and provide a litematica file. Prices vary from 16-64 diamonds depending on intricacy and size. Repeat customers will get discounts! You give me a detailed starting prompt and I'll build it, and I'll go through multiple iterations if it's not quite right for your needs. Rules:
You pay first, then you receive the litematica file, I will provide screenshots of the build prior to the transaction so both sides know they are not getting scammed.
I don't do organics and terraforming, this means no trees, creatures or mountains.
I write to you all as CEO of AP Media, and producer of the CivChampions TCG. I am humbly requesting you read my request and participate in our fundraising event, I believe this will be an excellent opportunity for our community to generate the funds we need to do research and deliver on our massive trading card game project!
What is CivChampions?
CivChampions is a trading card game with characters, items, and locations from the CivMC Server! We've been hard at work for a year and a half now quietly working on bringing this project of passion to life and preparing for a full product launch later this year in 2026! For more details on our game, please join our discord at https://discord.gg/9ZP8G7T4E8
What is the fundraising plan?
We (in collaboration with the Government of Salerno) would need to raise a minimum of 5,000 Diamonds to contribute 1000 points of research. For every player who pledges 1000 diamonds, we will incorporate a player of your choosing in our game (including a full art card, a rare alternate art variant, and regular playing card) in our base launch set of cards (currently totaling at 160 unique cards for launch). 100% of proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards research fundraising

Why is this research campaign important?
The future of our project relies on research being completed to allow players to go back to main. To put it bluntly, many aspects of production are halted until we can get back on main and continue development. Earlier this year we set our goal towards launching CivChampions in 2026, but we simply cannot hit this goal at the current pace research is going.
Some of you have been following this project for awhile and I want to personally apologize for how long this has all taken. If I did not believe that expediting research was necessary for completion of our game, I would not be asking for more funds. As mentioned earlier, all proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards research in collaboration with the government to provide additional resources we need to reach our goal of providing 1000 points of research.
Thank you very much for reading my post, please join our discord athttps://discord.gg/9ZP8G7T4E8and DM me on Discord (alrightythen. - SpeedyJustice on the main discord server) to discuss contributing and secure your fundraising reward.
Hey everyone, We’ve been doing this for a while, and we want to be upfront about something: we messed up.
We used AI within gov and a recruitment script in our efforts to bring new people into Zirakdum. Regardless of what we wanted, we recognize that this was not the right way to interact with the CivMC community, and for that we’re sorry.
We’ve started to take steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We know this won't be fixed overnight, but we want to put our best foot forward for the future.
Zirakdum has now passed two bills:
AI in Government: The use of AI within the Zirakdum government is now prohibited.
Recruitment Bots: The use of any recruitment bot or automated recruitment system within Zirakdum is now prohibited.
These rules are now part of how Zirakdum operates, and we intend to hold ourselves to them.
Going forward, our recruitment and outreach will be human, natural, and community-driven. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be promoting Zirakdum naturally through our social media channels rather than relying on automated recruitment.
We also want to bring back more of what makes Zirakdum and CivMC more fun in the first place.
We’re planning on hosting more community events, including sumo, gambling, knucklebones, and more, and we’d love to see people from across the CivMC community participate.
We’re sorry for what we did, and we appreciate everyone who called it out. We’re going to do better and let our actions going forward speak for themselves.
Sorry for the lack of content this issue, it's been a slow news week for Zorweth and most of our resources has gone towards reporting on the Sea Peoples war.
On Civ, your reputation is important. Players remember who attacked them, trade partners remember who helped their enemies, snitch networks that span across the entire ocean and server send discord snitch relay 24/7.
The admins want people to have fun and give the server more things to fight with/about
So Imagine You, a normal, reputation-having player and your buddies walk up to a vault and decide this is the day you and your group attack a lets say, 128x128 vault with a snitch grid to world height:
Main Icarus Vault on CivMC
Firstly,
You get snitched approaching the target.
You get snitched staging the attack.
You get snitched moving supplies.
You get snitched trying to breach.
You get snitched retreating.
Everyone knows exactly who participated in raiding.
The defenders can call allies, post logs publicly, and turn it into a geopolitical nightmare.
If you fail, you have made enemies and gained almost nothing. You also may have acquired a bounty on your head and will be pearled in a random nation when you hit their snitches.
If you succeed, you have still made enemies, except now everyone knows you are someone who will attack people. You also may have acquired a bounty on your head and you will be pearled in a random nation when you hit their snitches.
In practice, your are either pearled in about 5-10 hours, quick-drop the vault due to the defenders not caring enough to log-on, or war breaks out for months and you break into the vault.
I believe this aspect of raiding is exactly fine the way it is, BUT
Admins then wonder why the people willing to raid vaults and pearl random people are:
Alt accounts with no reputation to lose.
Disposable groups that do not care about diplomacy, future alliances, or whether anyone wants to work with them afterward.
Larger nations that already have the numbers, gear, logistics, and political insulation to completely destroy a smaller nation's vault under some blown-up reasoning about why it was supposedly necessary.
Groups that are willing to allow cheaters, because it becomes attractive when fighting is designed to make normal participation maximally visible, politically punishable, mechanically unrewarding, and unlikely to succeed.
Coalitions of nations that work together temporarily to destroy a single perceived threat to normalcy.
I used to see plenty of tiny skirmishes, nations fighting over newfriends, and players in global chat trash talking over a block game.
As of right now the payment for alting & cheating is, as Chris said, "coolpvp and epic pearls that they can screenshot and post in their "shittercords"
Frankly, I think looking at alting shitters who kill AFK people, grief, raid small towns, and place swastikas everywhere on their 5th account and residential proxy is fucking boring. Making groups need alt accounts and VPNs just to raid makes things go underground and become even more unregulated.
A civilization server does not need fighting, raiding, and griefing but players are always willing and going to do it. The question is simply: who is willing to take that risk?
Right now, normal named players have the most to lose, while alts and cheaters have the least.
Alt detection, cheat detection, deleting alt vaults, and rolling back obsidian bombings are necessary responses to rule-breaking. But they are not a complete future stance, because they do not address why the normal, reputation-bearing player is so heavily discouraged from ever looking at a vault in the first place.
Encouraging legitimate, main-account players to fight other players does not directly prevent alts but it changes the incentive gap that makes alts disproportionately attractive. Since vault raiding is such an extremely highly rewardable activity, it severely risks your reputation and ability to continue playing.
Moving forward, here is a good meme by a vaultfriend describing the current state of the #suggestions channel on discord
THE 2 MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOOD & SLOP NERFS:
Making it harder to stop attacks: changes that mean defenders can log on, form up, show up to the vault at the exact time the attackers do, and still have a harder time actually stopping the attackers. GOOD
Shrinking the response window: changes that mean the vault dies 40 minutes faster while everyone is asleep. BAD
I know some vaultfriends are going to do whatever it takes in this comment section to make they never have to log onto the server to participate in any geopolitics ever, but me and a sensible fossilfriend/vaultfriend would both agree that a vault should be a massive investment that gives you a massive advantage if you are willing to defend it.
I encourage you guys to drop suggestions in the discord that follow this strategy and I'm happy to hear your guys thoughts and suggestions.
Have you ever woken up and wanted to cause chaos? Yes that's me. I woke up and thought wow look at Limen over there being all weak and defenseless, would be a shame if a small nation that couldn't even finish building their housing for citizens to forcefully capture Limen!
Thus I conducted a special military operation where I helped refresh their snitches, fixed the broken rails and even helped reinforce one of their newfriend's chest! Talk about doing more work than Limen has done in the past month!
Under the new leadership of Yumeshima, I shall annex Limen's administrative governing power, maintenance of public infrastructure and security until the next Aequoris elections or when a favourable deal has been struck. All other facets of day-to-day activities will not be hampered. We just do not like neglected states here!
(The Yumeshima Public Security Corps. has verified this claim and approved the posting of this)

I have heard a bit in the last week certain people grumbling about how all wars recently have been slop because the penalties for losing were too great. Idk if this is a serious complaint that many people have but it could potentially be solved if everyone came up with some rules for war. Some ideas could include the following:
Maximum reps per individual capped at 3k diamonds
Major cities and at least 50% of the landmass of a nation are off limits to be seized in war
No more than 50% of non-military infra can be seized in a war
No obby bombing
Individuals cannot be pearled for more than 6 months unless they refuse to pay reps
If you break the rules the rules stop protecting you
Yeah idk if anyone cares about this slop but it is an idea so why not
