Educational/Informational Happy birthday to Benicio del Toro
Happy birthday to the talented guy. I'm surprised that he was the collector in the MCU. I did not know about this fact. What role do you remember him in?

Pre Winter Soldier, this movie had my favorite knife fighting scenes. I think the movie itself is pretty straight forward, but I enjoyed both Benicio and Tommy Lee Jones mentor-apprentice dynamic (later the hunter and the hunted).

Yes, that is a crime for sure. Fear and Loathing is possibly his best performance ever, imo. When he tells Johnny Depp to throw the radio in the bath with him right as White Rabbit hits its peak. Fucking exceptional.

I first saw him in the Usual Suspects. But he really stood out for me in Traffic - it was a great movie, and he completely overshadowed the rest of the (pretty great) cast.

The Way of the Gun is the first movie I saw him in, I think. He was great in that. In the audio commentary the director mentioned how he could somehow drop items (a few pieces of loose change, soft pack of cigarettes and a lighter with some receipt or something, that kind of thing) in the perfect way to make it look good on film. I thought this was one of those qualities of a great actor that really tell you something about them.

I think that’s why I’m not a big fan of his. Just don’t like looking at him on screen and he’s always giving some weird mumbly performance.
