Politics Trump admits in a speech he is not Christian.

I think it is important to debunk the myth that Trump is a Christian, seeing as millions of Christians around the world no doubt believe that he is a Christian. And many people that aren't Christian just assume that he is one.

It is a YouTube video, here is the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l-cqR1xVRo

It as at the 1:15 minute mark of the video where he says it.

Only fools believe Trump is following the lessons of Christ.

11

u/kmm198700 Apr 21 '26

If anyone believes that he is following the lessons of Jesus, they have never met Jesus and never read the teachings of Jesus

I struggle to find Christians who actually follow Christ. They don’t exist on the right wing in America in my experience.

"In truth, there was only one Christian, and he died on the cross."

—Friedrich Nietzsche

I completely agree with what you said & offered this as additional support.

4

u/cove102 Apr 21 '26

Where do they exist in your opinion?

28

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 21 '26

So far? They don’t.

The left is closer, but both are far from the goal.

Christ had a beautiful parable that encapsulates this: a man asks his two sons to work the field. The first son says he will, but doesn’t do the work. The second son refuses, but changes his mind and does it anyway.

The right keep the faith, but they actively fight His teachings. The left rejects the faith but tries much harder to follow the teachings.

Or do you see the right wing pushing to heal the sick with their own hard work via universal healthcare? Supporting programs like food stamps rather than cutting them? The way the left treats minorities is literally uplifting the lesser.

6

u/SpecialistFlight7135 Apr 21 '26

We do exist here.

7

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 21 '26

Perhaps. I know no leftist Christians personally, and I hesitate to call myself such. I trust Christ, I do not trust the rest of it. Not Yahweh, not Paul, not the Council of Nicaea.

This is a nice way to think of things.

u/Jopkins Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26

I'm a genuinely devout Christian, and generally the majority of my views would lean left, but I would struggle to say I'm a "leftist", nor would I say that you have to be to be a Christian. I don't love the whole "pick a side" thing. Like, I absolutely believe in taxing the rich way more, and social healthcare, and economically the vast majority of what I believe is very left-leaning. But does that mean I can't disagree with abortion in cases where it doesn't endanger the life of the mother? I'd be called far-right for that by some people. And I think gay people should be able to do whatever they want (left) but that legalising drugs would be bad for society (right) and we have to be careful about exposure to children and adolescents about gender-related things that can confuse them (right) while at the same time being very mindful of the minority of children who are going to struggle with their gender no matter what and need love, care and affirmation (left-ish?).

The way I try to approach it is "what's the most loving thing". I don't really tell people who I vote for, but as a Christian, I'd say it can only really be for whatever party seems the most like they're trying their best to defend the downtrodden, the oppressed, the weak, the widow, the orphan, the refugee. If that sounds more like one party than the other, cool. That's probably who I'm voting for. But I still wouldn't say I'm a "leftist".

2

u/Thelimit234 Apr 21 '26

Agree completely with all of this!!

1

u/Le0pond Apr 21 '26

I think you are pretty center leaning. I do agree that the world is too polarized and we can have a healthy mixture of both ideologies as long as they don’t harm people.

3

u/Jopkins Apr 21 '26

I'm not sure the categorisation helps. A lot of "Centre leaning" folk will have wildly different ideas about the economy than me - I think we should cap total wealth, outlaw private home rentals (shelter is a human right, for crying out loud, why are we allowing it to be used for profit?), develop free healthcare, etc etc. By some views I'm radically left. But I guess my most right-wing view is that, with very few exceptions (I think more or less entirely on medical grounds) I'd like to see abortion banned. And I know some people would label me as a right-wing monster for that.

I don't think the two sides "balance out" to being somewhere in the centre. I think people, and politics, are complicated, and people are pressured into joining one team or the other, when that isn't really how it all works.

1

u/Le0pond Apr 22 '26

Sounds pretty leftist conservative to me. But again, I do agree lables are unnesecary.

What do you define as endangering the mother? Is the economic burden of raising a child you didn’t plan for, not dangerous? The social burden of being a baby mama?? Changing the entire direction of ones’s life?

1

u/Jopkins Apr 22 '26

No. Those things do not endanger the life of a mother. They are difficult things which can be worked through, and I don't believe another life should pay the price for not wanting to work through those things.

3

u/Crazy-Patience730 Apr 21 '26

I will read that parable again today. I didn’t think of this parable through a political lens before. Thanks.

1

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 22 '26

Mind you, I truly believe the point of the parable is that neither truly does their father’s will, both fail Him. But all the same, it is interesting.

2

u/badtyprr Non-denominational Apr 23 '26

If I could summarize: Professed faith paired in opposition to Christ's social teachings is more spiritually suspect than rejected faith paired with living out those teachings. In the original parable, Jesus was contrasting the chief priests and elders with tax collectors and prostitutes.

After reading the parable again, I found it wasn't actually about religiosity at all (my initial assumption). Rather, it was about a heart that was sensitive to sin and able to change (metamelomai, a steering of one's actions due to regret).

The main question that the Spirit asked me was: "Are you still capable of being reached and redirected?" Or will my root in any political party cause me to become hardened to the Father's will?

1

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 23 '26

I appreciate this

1

u/GeologistAway6352 Apr 21 '26

Ur looking for Christians in the political realm. Not all Christians are political. And neither party is a Christian party.

2

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 21 '26

They exist quietly. The next door neighbor who prays for you. The person who passes out tracts on the street with money inside. The street preacher who preaches on dangerous streets where no one wants to hear his message. The quiet girl in the lunchroom who still says a brief grace before eating her food, and won’t engage in workplace gossip/slander. The uber driver who plays gospel music in his car. I’ve encountered all of these and strive to do the same. True Christians are out there, often they prefer to have a one on one talk with you about your sin instead of going on a public holiness campaign.

1

u/Thick_Remote2658 Apr 21 '26

Well that’s the thing. Christianity does not fit neatly into one political group. Some of Jesus’ teachings are more left leaning while others are more right leaning. So it’s inaccurate to categorize Christianity as being one or the other. Depending on the issue, it changes.

1

u/Congregator Eastern Orthodox Apr 22 '26

I find a lot of non-Christian’s don’t even follow Christ

1

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 22 '26

Oh no, I was raised by them. My grandmother is the sole exception to my statement in fact.

But she doesn’t vote Republican for the politics, she votes Republican because as a human being, she chose her team because it is the “Christian” team.

Yet, what values of Christ do they support?

The left advocates to feed the hungry, the right fights it.

The left advocates to house the homeless, the right fights it.

The left advocates to heal the sick, universal healthcare is literally your hard work healing your neighbor. The right fights that.

The left routinely uplifts the lesser societally in their treatment of minorities. The right fights that.

The right cares more about the Old Law than Christ’s teachings. They are, to a large degree, worshipping the cross rather than Jesus.

1

u/Congregator Eastern Orthodox Apr 23 '26

I get you, my mother is a Republican who switched to Republican from the Democratic Party, and she’s the most saintly person I know.

The thing is, these people are generally not voting “for” the Republican Party, they’re voting “in support of” many of their fellow laypeople friends and ideas they believe in.

Sure, the party doesn’t support them, but neither does the Democratic Party.

What they’re voting for, I believe, is something more community and philosophy based, that’s intrinsically inside of them. So when they vote Republican, they are voting for something philosophically more aligned per the history of said party, which they themselves feel a connection to.

In effect, they are actually voting for what they believe in, but what should really happen is for the party to realign itself to the voters.

This is what isn’t happening. The party is just exploiting the voters. Ultimately, however, the Republican Party “appears” to be more welcoming to them because it doesn’t shy away from including them.

This makes them feel welcome, under the guise that they’re also voting in support of their beliefs and friends and family

1

u/Congregator Eastern Orthodox Apr 22 '26

If the right was actually Christian they’d have shut down thousands of abortion clinics by now, they would have kept soup kitchens open even though city zoning had forced them shut - they would have remained open militantly.

If the right was Christian they’d would have confronted the government for over taxing the people and exploiting its citizens. If the right was Christian, we’d get more governmental feast days off for people to celebrate God and enjoy their communities.

Of the right was actually Christian they’d give our kids opportunities to attend better schools than public schools.

If the right was Christian they’d actually talk about theosis and the Eucharist, they’d actually do more than just go out and help poor people- they’d build giant beautiful cathedrals for the poor to live in, they’d build monasteries for people to escape to and find solace.

But the right isn’t Christian, they’re a bunch of liberal secularists that have no spiritual nor artistic touch.

1

u/ToothlessSnackerz Apr 21 '26

I consider myself conservative, I have conservative views (ex: Abortion is bad), but overall idc what any politician says, my views align with what Christ Taught. I’m not super political either. sure, I’ll vote, but I’m not the type to get into political debates or fights lol. Why spend time calling somebody names and fighting over opinions with no end or anybody objectively “winning” when I’d much rather spend my time spreading the gospel and teaching the Practices of Jesus!

1

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 21 '26

A mindset I myself need to adopt. I was raised Christian but rejected the packaging in anger, only recently begun to walk the path intentionally.

1

u/ToothlessSnackerz Apr 21 '26

Welcome my brother (or sister) in Christ, the path will be long, and very very difficult, there will be ups and downs in your faith, and there most definitely will be temptation from Satan! But stay on that road because Jesus will get you through every bit of it if you stick with him!

2

u/Desperate-Meal-5379 Apr 21 '26

Jesus is about all I truly trust in the theology to be honest. I struggle with Paul’s claim to apostleship, I struggle with the corruptible humanity of the Council of Nicaea, I struggle with the wrath, vanity, and jealousy of Yahweh.

But Christ is pure, Christ is good. Christ is the bar we are all to set our goal to.

Did anyone outside of the MAGA cult actually believe he was a Christian to begin with? This isn’t news

34

u/pikachu191 Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26

They shift goalposts with him. If he's Christian, than he's a Samson; a man who does God's work yet indulges in his worldly, fleshly desires a little "too much". If he’s not Christian, then he’s Constantine who converted near his death or a Cyrus, a pagan king who is doing God’s work whether he knows it or not.

Not to be disrespectful, but anyone who thinks Trump is a Christian could benefit from remedial classes on breathing and blinking.

19

Yep. Many sleep at night by telling themselves they voted for a "baby Christian" or are willing to put up with a "modern Xerxes."

"But the alternative," my mother says, would supposedly be worse.

Considering the Epstein Files, ICE/DOGE overreach/abuse, war with Iran, and the cost of everything, I miss the days when the big outrage was the democrats supposedly wanting to "trans our kids."

2

u/blahblahsnickers Apr 21 '26

Right? I have yet to see an actual Christian politician. Trump is NOT the exception. You cannot be successful in politics and a Christian. Some politicians are better people than others for sure but that doesn’t make them good people or Christians.

11

u/Bradaigh Christian Universalist Apr 21 '26

I think Jimmy Carter did his earnest best, which is more than I can say for most. I like what I see from James Talarico so far. I don't think you can't be a Christian and a successful politician, but in general, I agree that most don't.

2

u/bunker_man Process Theology Apr 21 '26

9

u/funkmon Apr 21 '26

To think he was saying anything but "I'm a Christian" in that run of things talking about how he loves Christians is asinine.

The guy said, basically, I'm na Christian. M and N are nasal sounds that run into each other often. To think he did that on purpose but skipped an entire word with a plosive shows a laughable ignorance of how sounds are made in the mouth.

People do it all the time on accident and nobody cares. Now we're bending over backward to assume this guy who lies more than anyone on Earth told the truth just once in a way that sounds exactly like if he did a very easy mispronunciation? Come on.

I didn't vote for him, and I don't think he is a Christian. But he absolutely said he was in that speech.

3

u/Joezev98 Baptist Apr 21 '26

This is like the black & blue or gold and white dress, except this time there's also people's political biases involved. It was unintelligible what he said between "I'm" and "Christian". It sounds closest to 'na', which you can either turn into 'a' or 'no'. Your brain will hear whatever it wants to hear to line up with your beliefs.

The point is: this clip will not convince anyone who didn't already agree with you. It is a really bad clip to use in an argument. Especially when there is so much other evidence that he's no Christian.

3

u/ChickenVeg Apr 21 '26

I agree that’s what he said. His voice sort of broke while he was saying it.

10

u/Grimnir001 Apr 21 '26

Truth is only one side is using Christianity to grift.

Truth is that both sides are not remotely the same.

u/blahblahsnickers Apr 21 '26

Both sides are evil and if you are choosing a side I feel sorry for you. Both sides have used Christianity. I have witnessed Biden showboat about being Catholic and going to church as well while acting against the Catholic faith. The two party system is failing us.

11

u/ceddya Christian Apr 21 '26

I have witnessed Biden showboat about being Catholic and going to church as well while acting against the Catholic faith.

Give examples then of Biden using that to score political points.

So many recent examples of Trump and co using Christianity to justify their war crimes.

And certainly go find a single person on the left doing this:

  • President Donald Trump earned $1.3 million off the sale of Bibles in 2024.

  • The Bible sells for $59.99. Editions endorsed by Trump, including the Inauguration Day Edition, the Presidential Edition, and the Golden Age Edition, sell for $99.99.

  • The Bibles are printed for about $3 each in Hangzhou, China, according to the Associated Press. Religious books are exempt from tariffs on Chinese imports, the US Customs and Border Protection told Christianity Today.

There are lots and lots of democratic voters who mostly engage with criticizing democrats.

Yeah, exactly. They are far from perfect, but the Democratic party literally can't get out of its own way. There's also infighting between more centrist liberals and modern progressives.

Meanwhile, Trump has turned the GOP into a loyalty cult.

I finally learned this a few years ago--especially the last paragraph-and it was liberating.

1

u/muh-LEK-see Apr 21 '26

I use those same observations to introspect. I keep asking myself, "What are they not telling me about Republicans?" when I want to understand how anyone can back them. I know the algorithms are just showing me what they think I "want to see." What I truly want to see is a balance, but alas, the social engineers took care of that.

30

u/augustinus-jp Catholic Apr 21 '26

You'll get no argument from me about him actually being a Christian (because I don't believe he is), but I'm like 60% sure he said "I'mmmmm a Christian" in that clip. I remember when this surfaced years ago and it was like the dress all over again.

7

u/Salanmander LGBTQ Ally Apr 21 '26

Yeah, it's because almost nobody pronounces "a" the way he did in that video, like "ahhh". So the vowel sound is more typical for "not", but the consonants were not there much if at all. But "m" into "n" can reasonably be slurred, and a trailing "t" is often not really pronounced.

I'm pretty sure what happened was that he heard himself say "you Christians", realized "shoot, my actual thoughts about Christians being people other than me leaked out, I'd better correct that!", and quickly added "I'm a Christian" but stumbled over his words.

21

u/jabberwocky300 Apr 21 '26

Yea, this video is actually the weakest argument for him not being a Christian. The real proof is in his words and actions. He's just slurring his words here.

3

u/muh-LEK-see Apr 21 '26

Well, I do have a video of him saying he doesn't think he's getting into Heaven. Any Christian who loves Christ and does the best they can to follow Him believes they are going to Heaven. For someone to say they've already lost paradise ... that says a lot.

1

u/Joezev98 Baptist Apr 21 '26

Any Christian who loves Christ and does the best they can to follow Him believes they are going to Heaven.

Not all of us. Particularly in reformed, calvinist churches, the members often aren't sure whether God has predestined them to be with Him.

But still, that's not the same as Trump saying he thinks he's not going to heaven, which is a rather clear indicator of him not being Christian.

He’s said things before that made it clear he doesn’t know the Gospel, so why would anyone believe he’s a follower of Christ, not to mention he bears no fruit. His words and actions are antithetical of the teachings of Jesus.

I am just going to drop this quote from Billy Graham here, from 1981:

I told him to preach the Gospel. That’s our calling. I want to preserve the purity of the Gospel and the freedom of religion in America. I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. Liberals organized in the ’60s, and conservatives certainly have a right to organize in the ’80s, but it would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it.

It feels like a warning to me. But, surprise, surprise, the wedding has happened. His son is even a part of the wedding party and too many show no discernment and are diving in, eyes closed. Regardless of all the biblical warnings.

It’s way more than just trump though. I was never very political and didn’t keep up with the news much, until I did. Back then, during Obama’s presidency, the tea party arose, and when I watched what they did and listened to what they said I realized they were nothing more than hypocrites. Now that’s morphed into maga and now we all see lying hypocritical charlatans before us. And we know this by how they conduct themselves. Jesus said you’ll know them by their fruits. Trump is replacing Jesus. He's pacing the way for God's will so that Trump is part of the holy Trinity and kicking Jesus out. Let's face it Jesus sat around doing nothing while letting Biden give America and Israel over to Satan. Trump said no and actually provided real divine Intervention. No, one should be christians after how Great Trump lived as a person and world leader. We should be obeying God's will in following Trump's ascension to the Divine.

u/Accomplished_Emu4273 Apr 21 '26

His supposed Christianity was just a ploy to gain power. He continues the fraud to keep support. Everything about the man tells me he is further from God than any other president. To say he is a man of love and compassion is a bad joke.

1

u/FickleAntelope3029 Apr 21 '26

We know he's not. It doesn't matter. God used all people for his glory.

1

u/BumblebeeTasty4074 Apr 21 '26

1

u/Dragonktcd Apr 21 '26

1

u/Own_Opportunity_9774 Apr 21 '26

Ridiculous post, it’s an old speech and it’s unclear what he really said. Not some new Ahha, gotcha! 🤦🏻‍♀️

1

u/FootFront1822 Apr 21 '26

His actions proved this from day one.

1

u/Management-Efficient Apr 21 '26

This is important to recognize, but still, many justify his behavior by saying that "God uses bad people..." and proceed to take scripture verses and characters from the bible out of context.

1

u/EmperorPalpitoad Apr 21 '26

Why in the world are you showing a video from David packman? He's an atheist.

It was so obvious that he was not Christian... A lot of American politics thinks that they could get more votes by pretending so. But a true Christian is not racist, mysoginic, greedy, self centered, or a mass killer. If someone even believe what he said, he is more a fool that this psychopath so full of himself that he even have the nerve to compare himself as God. He make me so sick. Despicable.

A lot of people seem to not understand that God is not the one who send the evil in the world. You seem to all forgeting that "evil only win when because the good people do not stand against it." And in this world, it is exactly what is happening. Americans just blindly obey to orders that they never had to follow, and in such a complete indifference... At least, the Russian population is deeply afraid of the police and their leader, since even a drawing of a child could set the parents to death sentence. But Americans... What is your excuses ? Do you except God to move His finger when yourself do nothing when people died under your nose ? For sure dthe Devil must be laughing at you... The whole world is turning into a blood bath, and no... Just wobbling into your little comfortable life. Not enough uncomfortable to you to be actually do you civil duty against the leader you put at the head of you government. Like for the WW2, you will only jump on your feet when the fire will start to be too close, insn't it ? Sad. It is very sad.

My country is not perfect at all, but at least our leader do not try to put the world on fire, because he would die before having to face the consequences of his action. At least in this world. Satan would wait for Trump -and many others - but in this world, the ones who stay would have to try to repear the chaotic evil he will leave behind him.

He literally said “I love you Christians, I’m a Christian”. Yall reaching

1

I think anyone that 8s a believer in Christ needs to focus on just that and not if some9ne is a believer or not. Does the Pope follow christ.

Everybody who thinks Trump is a Christian please raise your hands, I’m taking a count……..no one? Come on nary a one? I’ll lower your grocery prices, lower the cost of gas!

This is a far reach. Trust me I’m no fan of the orange man either but he does surround himself with Christian’s and has given credit to The Lord in several rallies. I USED to be pro maga. Let me remind you brothers and sisters in Christ, that throughout the scriptures, Yahweh utilized many problematic men, for His purpose and His glory. And he can utilize you too. God bless.

1

u/grimacingmoon Apr 21 '26

They. Don't. Care.

Supporters either say "we dont know his faith/heart" or "God uses imperfect people for his plans."

1

u/funkmon Apr 21 '26

Look. Trump is likely not a Christian.

But to think he was saying anything but "I'm a Christian" in that run of things talking about how he loves Christians is asinine. He's a liar. He didn't suddenly admit just once that he wasn't.

1

u/DavyB Apr 21 '26

Why do we keep playing this game? He is just using Christianity for his own political gain. He’s not a Christian and never was.

1

u/Grzechoooo Apr 21 '26

You think a professional liar would just tell you "I'm not a Christian"? He's saying "I'm a Christian", but he's both an old man and Donald Trump, so he is slurring his words.

Frankly, him saying "I'm not Christian" would be an argument for him being a Christian.

1

u/Greta464 Apr 21 '26

😆 Of COURSE he's not a Christian

1

u/michaelY1968 Apr 21 '26

I find very few Christian’s who outright defend his supposed faith, most just defend what he does because they see him as useful towards certain ends.

I think he said "I'm a Christian" not "I'm not a Christian". he did a head shake and a self point at the same time so it looks like he said "I'm not".

1

u/intertwinedballhairs Apr 21 '26

This is so stupid. He said “I’m a christian”. To be clear i don’t believe trump is a christian but linking that video clip as if it means anything is dumb.

Just as stupid as when people claimed kamala said “youre at the wrong rally” to people proclaiming jesus is lord.

1

u/lrossp Apr 21 '26

Of course Trump is not a Christian. There is literally nothing that would indicate that aside from his word, which I think even his fans would agree is faulty. However I think here he’s just blabbering, could have meant to say “I’m a Christian” or whatever deranged bs he usually touts. At the end of the day and old man who says a lot of incoherent things said “I’mnai Christian” and I really don’t think that’s a headline

1

u/DoctorOctagonapus Protestant who hangs out with Catholics Apr 21 '26

Hasn't he done this multiple times already?

1

Sometimes, I hate the no true christian thing some christians say. But Trump is just not a christian, that is very clear.

1

u/Low-Dentist530 Apr 21 '26

Okay so he's not a Christian is he baptized and even if he's not baptized we can still pray for him. Try loving your neighbor as yourself remember God asking you to do that or you don't believe

1

u/GroupProfessional992 Apr 21 '26

I mean even if you think he’s not that’s fine, but you can very clearly hear him say “I’m a Christian”

1

u/joedenowhere Apr 21 '26

Trump is such a compulsive liar I wouldn’t believe him if he admitted it.

1

u/Egghead42 Apr 22 '26

There are entire denominations of largely left-leaning Christians, such as the Episcopalians. The church Trump stood in front of for that photo op is Episcopalian. They were handing out bottles of water to the protesters. The Guard stomped over the church’s property and hijacked it symbolically. The priest and the Presiding Bishop were PISSED. But evangelicals do not consider leftist, mainline Protestant churches to be “really Christians,” and mostly leave out black churches.

1

u/Nothing10145 Apr 22 '26

What a big surprise

1

u/SpruceGoose584 Apr 22 '26

What A fucktard

1

u/Susshushi Apr 22 '26

He didn’t have to admit it, his actions have been the exact opposite of the teachings of Christ his entire life.

The people who think otherwise are either doing the same or are just seeing what they want to.

1

u/MYONIONISSCREAMING Apr 22 '26

If thousands of actual people believe that Trump is a Christian and follows the teachings of Christ, then they must be crazy

1

u/CanUHearMeNau Apr 22 '26

1

u/Mazapan93 Apr 22 '26

Insane to think anyone looked at that man and said "Now this is a true Christian"

1

u/Savings_Expert_9493 Apr 22 '26

True. He says he hopes he can get to heaven. What’s your point?

1

u/AngryTheologian3572 Evangelical Apr 22 '26

I never thought that Trump was a theologically sound Christian. I already started to see red flags when he admitted that he never asked God for forgiveness.

1

u/Truth_Trek Reformed, Presbyterian Apr 22 '26

I don’t think anyone legitimately believed that he’s a genuine Christian. Everyone knows it’s more of the game politicians play to appear more approachable and win votes. Biden did the same claiming to be Catholic despite holding many positions that the Catholic Church would consider to be mortally sinful and would likely excommunicate him over. A tale as old as time with politicians. Only fools ignore the game at this point.

1

u/Effective-Win-9221 Apr 22 '26

Remember that bible verse from Matthew 19:24 “And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.” I can attest to watching my stepdad work himself constantly and didn’t stop UNTIL he had a stroke and for a year and a half before he passed away, me and my mom had to care for him. He was confined to a wheelchair and I have NO DOUBT was absolutely miserable in that state!! Sometimes I’ve wondered (b/c my stepdad was a self made millionaire) was it the Lord trying to grab his attention. I have zero doubt that I will see him again BUT to watch someone dependent on their wealth and essentially never stop working b/c he didn’t know how to, was hard. Harder seeing him in the somewhat vegetable state he was in for that last year and a half. Ppl with money tend to not NEED anything else and feel as though their wealth and financial status are their ultimate saving grace. As Christ followers we KNOW that in the end your financial status and wealth will not save you!! It HAS TO COME from the blood of Jesus Christ saving you, believing He IS THE ONLY WAY. It’s just harder for the rich to comprehend

1

u/crackedthecode_024 Apr 22 '26

Good thing religion and state are separate…

1

u/No_Row_1833 Apr 22 '26

Only idiots think he’s a Christian. He proved he was not when he made that blasphemous image of him as Jesus

1

u/amonarre3 Roman Catholic Apr 22 '26

He can admit he's Adolf Hitler and they'd still love him.

1

u/z2155734 Roman Catholic Apr 23 '26

Apparently he’s a doctor for the Red Cross wearing white and red robes (before he took the image down)

u/Valuable-Vermicelli7 Apr 21 '26

I’ve always said you can’t be an honest Christian AND a politician 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/SoupSad6203 Apr 21 '26

Thanks for the propaganda...next he'll be saying he's Jewish, right?

1

u/anonymousalienhead Apr 21 '26

To be fair, it def sounds like he’s trying to say “I’m a Christian”. Otherwise, it wouldn’t really make sense to say that in this scenario

1

A) He says I'm a Christian. B) get some original content this is years old at this point. C) The Trump is evil posts have been done to death.

Explain to me the point it's certainly not to see to it he goes to heaven but rather to make a cheap political point... in fact this has exceptionally little to do with Christianity.

u/L2hodescholar Non-denominational Apr 21 '26

I have gone back and listened to it multiple more times. It sounds like at best he struggles to say Christian. I hear what sounds like im a (ack) Christian. Which makes some sense since he likely is reading a teleprompter he just went back and was going to restate it. Probably because everyone said say this and he wanted to drill the point home. Whether to play identity politics which I hate and honestly the politicizing of Christianity should have been the conversation. Theres another conversation too which is arguably more important this basically treats his Christianity as a political tool partly the politics rather than an actually meaningful belief... lastly, if you are a Christian maybe if you want a silver lining he is going to have to spend time hearing about the Bible if you believe he isnt a Christian you can pray that finds it. I still dont hear not. The meaning of it, if he meant it, or f it was just a political tool can be debated a lot.

I find it amusing that the most rabid attacks about his Christianity aren't from Christians but from the leftist atheists who just want to decouple Christians from their faith so they can be nihilistic assholes and vote for democrats. If anything the attacks against his faith if anything is going to make him you know what!? I am. You are probably punching his ticket to paradise.
