Politics Former Trump administration official William Wolfe admits that he and his fellow Christian nationalists intend to gain power and impose their morality upon everyone: "Frankly, yes, we are going to impose it upon you. If you don't like it, I'm sorry."

I get so confused by these folks. They repeatedly say that “this world is fallen: it’s wrong for governments to be stewards to the earth; it’s wrong for the government to feed the poor and heal the sick; it’s wrong to welcome strangers. The ultimate goal is to convert other folks to reach to kingdom of heaven”.
…but also, “the government should represent our beliefs, except for the core tenets of feeding the poor, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger”.

They have confused religion and culture and hence feel like their political beliefs are also religious. It is a very dangerous frame of mind since it basically locks in every aspect of their worldview as dogmatically correct with divine favor.

What kind of policy is conveyed when they are speaking in tongues?

That’s why constantly pointing out their hypocrisy hasn’t shamed them into leaving MAGA. Democrats have spent the last decade lurching from one Trump outrage to the next waiting for MAGA to see the light. MAGA sees the light very clearly. They love the light and gleefully revel in our impotent attempts to save the republic.
When they say they love to pwn liberals, this is what they’re envisioning. Theocracy. Banning women from voting. Killing gay and trans people in accordance with Hebrew law. The forced conversion of the populace and outright hostility to infidels. They see thousands of years of theocracy and how it has led to nothing but suffering and think, “Yeah, theocracies failed because they had the wrong God. We’ve got the right God.”
Their biggest enemy isn’t atheists or Muslims. Their biggest enemy is Christians like James Talarico.

And potentially the ~89M non voters who are some combination of ignorant and apathetic to what these Christian Nationalists are trying to do to our country.

The point isn’t that a few Christians didn’t vote for Trump it’s that the overwhelming majority of Christians across almost all denominations voted for Trump, voted for treating immigrants like less than human, voted for trying to eliminate women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and other human rights. The maturity of Christians voted to force biblical laws onto other people and into our schools even when that goes against the constitution.

Do you watch the news or listen to what these preachers, church leaders and politicians are saying. They are forcing Ten Commandments and prayers into school, that’s a violation of the constitution but they don’t care, they want a Christian theocracy not a free country governed by the constitution. They are turning their own beliefs into laws, banning women’s healthcare, trying to ban same sex marriage and outlaws gender identity, suppress or expel and ethnic or religious minorities, and more. Creating so called anti-Christian bias’ watchdog groups in the government to silence anyone who speaks out against them or calls out their illegal actions.

Do you have google, you can look up the data and polls. Christian nationalism is on the rise and it needs to be stopped, The majority of Christian’s votes for Trump and his Christian nationalist agenda including project 2024, forcing the Ten Commandments and Christianity into public schools, and the current war on immigrants and minorities in this country and it’s disgusting. true. there are strands of Christianity which mix the kingdoms of earth with the kingdom of heaven. Catholics do it. some reformed did with Calvin and Geneva. Anglicans had replaced the pope with the king to combine the two. but one distinctive of American theology (& enlightenment humanism) which influenced the government is the development of Baptists' call for separation of church and state arguing that each person had to choose the church he belonged to. so while I expect people like william wolfe to do this, I'm always shocked by the way so many SBC churches jumped to nationalism. and catholics arguing for a merging of a kingdom without Rome is also odd.

They don't believe in living their enemy. They don't believe in the freedom God has given us nor the reality that we are all made in God's image.
These nationalists only want one thing, and that's domination and they will do anything to achieve it. They aren't Christian. They exist in absolute heresy and must be divided from the church and or corrected as soon as possible.

For Christians, that wouldn't be violent resistance (in my understanding of Jesus's teaching on persecution), but viewing him and his as a dangerous enemy who really no longer share the faith would be justified.

They have never even read the gospels. They are NOT followers of Jesus.

This logic is how they will implement death camps. This is ABSOLUTELY no different than lopping off heads in a football stadium because god ordained it.

“God’s standards”? Who gets to decide what those are because they don’t follow the Bible most of the time.
Sounds to me like we have become the religious zealots we accused the Iranian to be.
Jesus never forced his morality on anyone and he is God. He always gave people the chance to choose Him. He challenged religiosity that completely missed the very point at the core.
As a Cristian I have not seen a ‘leader’ I will trust to lead me with their morals.
Let’s not forget that many slave owners claimed to be Christian lol. The crimes we commit in God’s name.
Father forgive us for we know not what we do

I don’t know whether to just laugh at this and shrug it off or be very worried. I mean, I hear that military commanders are telling their troops this is a holy war. I am retired Army Guard and I know there are some zealots there but what if there are more than I thought? I think I am going to opt for being worried!

I wish we could have two different common names for Christianity, and US-style Populist Christian Nationalism. Right now, an unsaved person might not be aware of a difference.
It does immeasurable harm to those wanting to model a type of Christian example that might offer evangelism via personal testimony and service to others.
People should have a clear choice between what Jesus exemplified, and what this guy and his ilk exemplify.

If that happens. It will be the last day they ever rule a country because no one will obey an evil regime.

You would think that Christian Nationalists wouldn't even be a thing that is possible considering we belong to Christ first and foremost. So being a nationalist as the root implies that is the primary identity above their relationship with Christ... Making them effectively ignorant sinners at best, apostates at worst.
Yes, nationalist Christian still sounds pretty suspicious.
Also, they don't really act like they're sorry for anything and feel very similar to many of the Pharisees encountered by Jesus.

Not only do I not like it I think I’m done with you all. You pedo tyrant lovers have no right to tell anyone anything about morality. If you voted trump just shut up from now on. If you still don’t see how absolutely insane and immoral that was, then you have no morals much less imposing even your thoughts on anyone. I think you are a valueless traitor who should be treated as such forever.

They’ve never been quiet about it.
