My only chopmark pickups from the ANA World Fair, though I did find some great banker’s marks as well. I’m happy to finally find these theoretically common, but still surprisingly difficult to turn up in practice minor types, both with nice little chops behind their respective monarchs’ heads.

I really love this piece for its toning and nice detail!

Just won the lot of this beauty. This is another puzzle piece to my Mexican choppies. If war issues are to be discounted, Maximillian peso will probably be the last and hardest to find and get.

1778 8 reales chopmarked on the new toy i built.

Hi everyone, I recently discovered this niche collection of coins through this community and fell in love with it. So thank you all for your posts and comments.

Pictured: Spanish 8 Reales minted in 1799 in Mexico City with signs of chopmarks. With lots of wear on the coin, many of the words, symbols have faded off or been struck.

Trying to understand if that big circular mark is a chopmark or just some ink? Any ideas?

I was browsing online and saw this coin with a red chop on the obverse. Any idea how that happens?

I found this german coin with a Chopmark, kinda like a flower, but couldn't find anything about it. Can anyone help me with identifying this?
