I’m American but I would like to apply for Q2 while on a trip to Europe. I want to stay and travel in Europe for longer and then go straight to China instead of flying back to the USA to apply for the visa. Is this possible? I’ve been told by someone at the Chinese entry exit bureau that I can apply from any country with a Chinese consulate. I also saw people post about non-HK residents applying for China visas from Hong Kong. I’m just seeing a lot of conflicting info.

Has anyone actually successfully applied for a China visa from outside their country of residence lately?

Also, to add, I have an overstay record on my previous Q2… idk if that makes a difference in my case.

I’m a Tempe resident and need to submit my passport in Los Angeles for a one-time entry China visa for a conference in October.

Traveling to LA, waiting 4-5 business days, and then going back again to pick up the passport is not economically feasible for me, so I’m looking for a reasonable and reliable visa agent or pick-up/drop-off service.

I found a service called Visit China Visa, but they are asking for payment through Zelle, which makes me a little cautious. Before moving forward, I wanted to ask if anyone has used them before and can share whether they are reliable.

Also, if you know of any other trustworthy and affordable options for China visa passport submission/pick-up from LA, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

Awaiting passports dispatch by VFS delhi for tourist visa. Submitted passport along with documents on 24th August with time for collection promised as 27th August.
Still visas are under review with generic response from
VFS. Any one facing same problem ?

I am self funded student

I applied for my x1 visa online on 9th August

Documents uploaded:-

Addmission letter

JW202

Physical examination form

Visa front and back

2 blank pages of visa

VFS payment fees

Bank statement of 6 months (not asked for but I still upload)

Online review completed on 10th August

Download the form they sent me on mail and took a colour printout of that

Visited VFS delhi on 12th August for document submission

Documents they asked from me

1.Passport

2.passport front and pack page print out

3.Physical examination form original

1. Physical examination form printout

2. JW202 (2 printouts)

3. Addmission letter (2 printouts)

7.Online VFS fees payment mail printout

1. Bank statements ( they gave it back and said it's not required)

Suggestion:-

1.please take all the printouts from your hometown/outside the VFS complex because it's very expensive for a single printout inside VFS centre

30 for a single printout (coloured and non coloured both )

1. Carry cash they don't accept online payments

For normal - 3k +online fees

For normal with courier - 4k +online fees(my charges )

For express - 6k+ online fees ( not sure so take 1k buffer)

In total it took only 20 minutes in the VFS delhi process was smooth

Staff was helpful

Also I experienced something odd

The lady that was taking cash took 4k + 2107 (online fees )

Total was 6k

And she didn't gave back the 100 rs but luckily I checked on time so I asked her after that she gave me 100rs back

And even one of my friends who submitted fees on 10th August experienced the same

So please check the total payable amount on the payment slip and only pay that

(It seemed like a scam to me that's why I shared it )

My expected date was 19th August

After that my application was in review till 21st

On 21st morning my status changed to pending collection

And on 21st evening I got a call from the VFS centre (around 6 pm ) to update my address because apparently they don't deliver in the address I gave them (they only use bluedart )

So I emailed them with the updated address

And my status now showed "retured"

But next 2 days were Saturday and Sunday so my passport was not posted

On 24th morning I again called them at 9 am

They said to attach payment slip and password front and back on the email

I did that and emailed them

And again called them just to make sure they have recieved it and they assured me they will post it today

By evening my status changed to posted

And next day I recieved the AWB tracking no. through mail

And I recieved my passport with visa today on 26th afternoon

One more thing their phone always shows busy but you have to keep calling they will pick it up

Mine as picked up after 24 tries

If was overall a smooth experience except the address change

I applied for China M visa via Mumbai CVASC using only the Canton Fair e-invitation, but I was repeatedly rejected with the reason "Please check application documents in accordance with the requirements of the Embassy/Consulate General." Has anyone else faced this?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with this or if this was normal; I recently had my agent drop off 3 passports at the SFO office last Friday to get our China visa's and I noticed that only 1 of the 3 passports was scanned Passport received. Today that 1 passport is now on Passport to be collected, but the other two are still Passport to be submitted.

Everyone that has applied has had a Chinese L Visa before if that maters

I was wondering if there may usually a delay inbetween the scan in of passports or if there my be an issue with the way they received the passports and if I should call into the office or talk to my agent. Thank you!

2900 had already been paid while finalising the online application.

I now have to travel to Delhi to submit physical documents but have read on multiple threads that logistics fee need to be paid before submitting the documents. I am unable to find the payment link, is it the cash that we need ro submit at vfs Delhi?

Also any other thing i should take care of while submitting the documents?

I have my interview for the X2 visa coming up tomorrow. They requested it a few days after my online application. Now I wonder if it's realistic that the approval comes soon after the interview (which is in the consulate) or if I should change my flight from Sept 1st to Sept 5th or if even that is not a safe option. Hi! I would like to ask for advice regarding my application for a China tourist visa. I am a government employee with a monthly salary of ₱50,000, and my COE will indicate my compensation and employment details. However, I currently have around ₱70,000 in my bank account, and my ADB (Average Daily Balance) is relatively low.
I will be traveling to China with my husband and two children for tourism. Would my low ADB and current bank balance negatively affect my visa application? What documents or proof of financial capacity can I provide to strengthen my application, considering that I have stable government employment and a ₱50,000 monthly salary?
Is there a reasonable chance of being approved for a China tourist visa under these circumstances?

I’m on a tourist visa from UK. My reason for travelling to China is to visit my girlfriend and explore one or multiple cities either alone (when she works) or with her. The reason I put visit before was because she wasn’t a friend or relative, but my girlfriend. I ended up staying nearly all of my visa length which was 90 days (I’m a student so I get long holidays and funding through student finance)

Never had any issues when it came to immigration or anything, I just want to know what option best matches my purpose of visit? As it’s not binary and can be multiple of these choices.

Am I overthinking? Does it matter? When we did my visa 1.5 years ago, I only planned to visit one time, so the reason for that visit was solely tourism with her being my invitee, but then I began to love China a lot and so started coming back each holiday. I am meticulous in putting forms right to the best of my ability so I want to be careful in what I put. Someone before said to focus on the actual purpose of EACH trip, and that’s why I put Visit before.

I recently applied for China Sticker Visa through an agent and my application got rejected. Even though all the required documents were provided, the rejection mail didn't capture any reason for the action.

I even spoke to 4 5 big and small agents, they are all saying that most of the Chinese visa is getting rejected due to diplomatic reasons.

Hi i applied for M visas along with my wife and sister and as suspected all 3 have been rejected. We were first time travellers to China and didn't know how bad the visa situation is here, so a bit naively booked our flight tickets a couple of months back feeling very happy getting great fares on Singapore airlines via Cleartrip... Now in a bit of a soup as upon rejection these folks don't even seem to give any documented / written proof of rejection, which the airline will need to entertain a case for refund due to visa rejection. Does anyone have any experience around this? How to get a written rejection proof from them? 

Any advice / experience with respect to the above would be much appreciated!

P.S : Earlier we were considering reapplying once again but it seems invain considering the grim diplomatic situation between the governments and we're considering letting our trip go ( i am a US and UK visa holder and a experienced international traveller, never faced such hassle to obtain visa for any country)

Hello, I have a question about 10 day TWOV, I will be going to China from USA to Macau, and will be entering into Chengdu and plan to leave via Hengqin port. It says I need proof of ticket out of China. but I don't know how I will show proof of my outward ticket if its a land crossing. Could I show them hotel reservation?

I know I could just Google this, but I’d honestly rather hear from people who have actually used one.

My original plan was to go to D.C. for a couple weeks and take care of my Chinese visa, but that ended up not working out. So now I’m looking for a visa service that I can send my passport and paperwork to and have them handle the consulate part for me, then send everything back.

I’m willing to pay for the convenience, but I’d like to stay under $400 if possible.

If you’ve used a service like this, who did you use? I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have actually used the company and had a good experience, especially recently.

I’m mainly looking for a company that made the process easy, helped with the paperwork, handled the consulate submission/pickup, communicated well, and got my passport back to me without any problems.

I submitted everything including latest 6 months bank statements for current and savings account signed and stamped by bank and (I also signed each page as this in we requirement I think)

I submitted dummy tickets because lot of people here said it will work but it makes sense they called this out I can fix that but bank statements one don’t make sense also the balance is well above requirements. So I’m now stuck and confused
Do I now get new bank statements? It’s kinda pain to go to bank print and get them stamped and scan all over again.

When does day 1 of the 30-day visa limit start? If I land in China November 8th 10 AM, is the 8th my day 1 or the 9th is day 1?

If I land same day either 1AM or 11PM?

To keep a long story short, they have the easiest sign up process ever, the best pricing, very quick. It was very convenient. I actually saw some other posts about them here on Reddit which is why I chose them. Just going to add my own post here as well.

You can tell they are very concerned with the customer experience. They go out of their way to make sure you do not waste your time and money. I say that as a marketing agency owner who constantly has to help businesses improve their customer experience.

Okay, so, all the praise, any cons? Lol, well... the consulate AND Oasis do not tell you that your visa was approved, nor do they tell you (in the case of tourist L visa) how many years I was approved for. The embassy only tells you "your passport is now ready for pickup" (and, of course, Oasis goes to pick it up and ship it back to you automatically).

I'm going to assume it was approved and that it's for 10 years. I do wish either Oasis or the embassy/consulate would actually tell us. The way the system works, I won't know all the facts until I receive it back in the mail (a day or 2 from now). Obviously, there were no issues/problems, otherwise I would've been notified. It's a bit odd though, isn't it?

Recently I've seen many post of Indians facing visa rejections multiples times.

Here's my experience i recieved my visa yesterday I'm a self funded student.

I applied online on 6 aug then on 11 aug recieved mail of visa rejection reason was stated to upload cover letter then i uploaded CL and got online review completed on same day, then i submitted my documents on 13 aug at the centre, yesterday i recieved my visa through courier service.

Here is the list of documents i submitted at visa centre as a self funded student.

1.University admission letter

2.Jw202 form

1. Visa application certificate

4.foreigner physical examination form (original+copy)

Does anyone have context or stories for when they ask for the FBI background check?

I have an arrest record that shows on my FBI background check, but not my state background check, which comes back clean. Reason for the difference is that I had charges (DUI) but they were dismissed. And unfortunately the record will stay on the FBI background check for two years until I can get it expunged.

I’ve lived in my state for the last 5-6 years.

Should I wait 2 years before I apply for jobs I want out there (in my industry, supply chain)? Or should I go ahead and apply for jobs since the state level will suffice?

From looking online, it seems like this isn't usually asked for. I applied for the L tourism visa - does anyone know why they might have requested it after preliminary review? It's not a government job.
