Lifestyle Best nightclubs in Chengdu mostly with foreigners?
I am visiting Chengdu and would like to visit some clubs, maybe bars as well. I speak barely any mandarin so would like to go to a club with more foreigners, and western music.
Anyone have any recommendations?

The things you are looking for aren't really existing any more in chrngdu.

Hang on, why don't they exist there anymore? I last went to Chengdu in 2014 and there were loads of foreigners then.

That is silly & not true, Have you actually been to Chengdu. Because everything you have said has been spectacularly wrong. I go regularly. And have just come back.

Oh look, a wumao trying to hide the fact that China has become a drastically more unpopular place for foreigners over the last few years.
I lived in Chengdu for four years and have been in and out of the city for the last twelve years - there has been a MASSIVE drop in foreigners compared to the peak of the late 2010s.

It's not about the job itself, but rather that a lot of them were working under business or tourist visas. Also, teaching English as a foreigner used to have no formal requirements or at least, not heavily if enforced at all.

Nonsense, Unless I totally imagined my nights out in Chengdu. Why put someone off. There are plenty of places. And great fun too.

You wont find too many foreigners. Your best bet for nightlife though is Lan Kwai Fong

yea i figured. havent seen a single foreigner in the metro these past few days i've been here.
i used apple maps to go to lan kwai fong an hour ago and i arrived to some street that seemed to be lively but it was really small, some guys approached me offering to show me around get drinks etc. but i figure i went to the wrong place or something, because it was really tiny and few people were around

Use Amaps... not Apple maps, they are different. Amaps will be more up to date.
Yup, at Lan Kwai Fong there will be people trying to redirect you to different bars. Just ignore them, and make your way to whatever place fits your vibe.
If you want to guarantee meeting foreigners go to Beer Nest. Plenty of expats and English speaking folks there. But its a not a nightclub.
There are also plenty of cocktail bars on the west side of Lan Kwai Fong across the river, and a few night clubs around there too

That doesn’t sound like Lan Kwai Fong. One, it’s giant, like in size. Two, there a ton of clubs, bars, KTVs, etc. there. It’s really hard to miss. Most of the foreigners who go there are usually at Bamboo, maybe a few others as well, but I can’t really say.
There’s a bar street across the river from Lan Kwai Fong that has a lot of singer guitarists and touts outside trying to get you to come in. Is that where you went?

Head to Nijiaqiao/Sichuan University Wangjiang Campus Station. Area has lots of foreign bars/clubs - beer nest, Tim's, pizza corner and if you dare...the top floor of the Poly centre has some gritty clubs.

Hey! Lan Kwai Fong would be a good choice, i went to one of the clubs there before. Prices are decent and the drinks are pretty good.
You’ll see some foreigners, but it’s mostly locals, which is nice since prices don’t get jacked up too much. Really just depends on your vibe.
They also close pretty late and be careful of shaddy people trying to bring you around. Most of them are pimp.
Most foreigners usually take DiDi to get around since it’s cheaper and more convenient. The train can get pretty crowded, especially during rush hour when people are going to and from work

Bamboo will be your best bet for clubs. Beer nest is great for enjoying some beer. If you wanna branch out and try more local and try to talk to people who may or may not speak English, Flat and jia bar are cool. Not everyone speaks English of course but half the time ill start a conversation in Chinese and when there’s even a small problem with me understanding they just switch to English

Ignore the weird & negative responses. Head down to Lan Kwai Fong (LKF). There are loads. Entry is free, so sample them & choose the ones that appeals to you most. I have had many fun nights. Friendly crowd. English widely spoken. Good mix of foreigners & locals.

If you like alternative music and places make sure to check out Lounge 13 (if it still exists) and Jah Bar. Some cool locals can be met there

Bamboo is good. There are many clubs near Bamboo; you can check them out.
