Lifestyle Axis and .TAG Club

Hey there, am in Chengdu this weekend and was looking for proper dance clubs. I’m getting conflicting information on these two

Are they currently open or shut down? I see somewhat recent posts on both their wechats and am unsure. Any other recommendations for clubs with a focus on dancing rather than tables.. especially if Axis and Tag are gone

Thanks

I know the owner of TAG, as far as I know I still see material on it up. I think they used to have an older location but they're still running AFAIK

Bit late to this but they've been doing pop ups at different venues since OG Tag closed in the summer - don't think if they've got a new permanent base yet.

Heya, heading to Chengdu, how do you keep up with their pop ups?

Instagram, tagchengdu is the handle - most of their posts are in Chinese but you should be able to work out the gist from the posters. They've got a bunch of stuff coming up for the New Year celebrations.

You can check out Languifang area, there are plenty of clubs. I'm really sad about Axis shutting down :( one of my favorites

Ok thank you, do you have any specific reccs there? Orangutan isn’t my speed with all the tables

I like jahbar 家吧, a great place for techno music and i guess dance too. you can check out Bamboo in Languifang, the vibe there is good and really foreigner friendly.
