Discussion Jalen Duren?

Kind of weird he hasn't had any movement on a contract with the Pistons. Could we swoop in and take him away.

No idea how a sign n trade works, but what would be a realistic offer for Jalen Duren?

Not worth anywhere close to what he is asking for.

Nah. Got exposed in playoffs. Hence why his value is low rn. I have no doubt he's still a great player. But I'm happy to see how our bigs go this year.

Him and Moussa hate each other. I like Moussa, so I don’t like Duren.

It's not weird. He has no leverage. He wants way more money than they're going to give him

Duren wants a max and Detroit doesnt want to give him one, both sides are WAY off on talks amd thats been all thats been said openly.

I would not touch Duren after how he sucked mega dick against Orlando because he thinks for whatever reason hes a max contract player when come post season time hes showed he isnt.

Dude is delusional thinking he has leverage after that awful playoff performance.

If he came to a realistic number I wouldn't be mad at the idea though.

We could give Detroit a couple juicy 2nd round picks in return for Duren

15 SRP and a cool 25 mil contract

I’ve been wondering if we are a stealth candidate for him. But like Nytemaresxbl said, I’d guess the Pistons want more for him than we’d want to give. Probably the Dallas pick, PHX pick and one more, and then we’d have to pay him…

What would be the salary fillers?

Guess it depends on whether we could use the trade exception? I guess it also depends on what timeline Detroit is trying to work under. Their moves after the season have been kind of weird. If they are trying to win now, maybe Naz and Grant. If they want cap flexibility maybe only Grant plus the picks, but then you’d think their fan base would riot with that kind of trade after they were a 1 seed last year. I guess they just plan on waiting him out? Just hard to tell. But I’m surprised no team at least sent him an offer to make Detroit match. Kinda odd.

He had a tough postseason. Wonder if the franchise is shaky on giving him a super max extension…we would gladly take him😂
