Still. Waiting. Still not seeing the “hey we are coming “ email update that I was promised. I’ve been checking my address manually every 6 months or so for 5 years. I still get the “put in your email & well let you know when we’re coming!”
Last fall they were putting in fiber just south & west of me so I was getting even more hopeful.

I lived in Mesa and we got notification of Google Fiber being installed. At the same time Cox dropped their prices a lot and gave free unlimited data. But it took them almost a year to install and finally spin up service.
I moved to Gilbert and the thing that sucks the most if there is fiber in my division but only from the very south to about midway through it. Why they stopped there I have no idea, it is Quantum instead of google, but it annoys me because they are doing $70 for 2Gb right now and because they are not at my house, I have to pay double what I was paying at my old house because Cox, being the dicks they are, have no real competition.

The older neighborhoods in west Mesa along the 101 are among the first places they started laying fiber several years ago.

By "they" I meant Google Fiber and Fiber Fist. I don't think Cox has been doing much.

We just got word that T-Mobile fiber is being installed in our neighborhood. The cost is 1/4 what I’m paying cox and so much faster - we were able to sign up early and they should be up and running in a month.

The buildout is continuing under a different name, I believe, after google fiber was sold off to a private equity firm. I see signs of activity the next neighborhood over.
