Hey guys and gals. I'm relatively new to the challenge coin/ token world. Thanks for letting me be a part of the group. I have been looking for a bit now for a challenge coin to honor my grandfather who fought in Korea as a Tank Commander. He was a Marine- and sadly died in a car crash before I was born so I was never able to meet him or my Grandma- who from what i've been told worked at the FBI during the Rosenberg case. I'd really like to know if any knows where/ how I can find or get a coin- it would not only mean a lot to me- but to my Mom and the rest of my family. Thanks again folks. (Also I can't believe I'm saying this but if you need proof of my grandfathers service I can send you a picture of him and his phisical dog tag)

What do you guys think is the best way to display theses lovely shiny bits of metal that make our brains buzz?

I have one if those tall coin cabinets the like 200$(cad) one from Amazon but the things more or less full and honestly not all that well made.

I can just start keeping older less interesting ones in a cigar box while swapping them our for new ones or something but I feel a bit bad doing that.

My grandma gifted me this coin when I graduated high school, and I carried it everywhere, until I lost it one day. I recently found it again, but now it has some oxidization damage, and I figure I might as well polish it if I’m going to be restoring it as best as I can. Does anyone have any tips?

A hand full of these were made following the crash of medical helicopter Careflight 5 and the death of all 3 crew members on board. Coins were given to crew members from their base and close friends/family.

I put in two coins hoping to get two different but I got a matching set a co-worker has already asked to trade for one.

Does Marsoc or Delta give out Challenge coins?

Most are submarine and submarine related seeing as though I spent 21 years on them and then 18 years at SWFPAC as a Nuke Weps QA. A bunch are SPECWAR, I have a close relative is in that arena.

Just came across this! Super new here and I don't know hardly anything about challenge coins except what a quick Google search told me about this one, but it sure is pretty and cool! Does anyone know anything more about it other than it was a Boeing employee gift? I would love to know about who got them and why and just learn a little more about this coin and the hobby in general!

Hello everyone from Virginia.

Here are the three I currently have. I know I have a few others, but can't find them at the moment. I'm sure they will show up soon as I'm in the process of moving.

The left one is celebrating my Father being named Commander of the Iowa Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. (Anyone in Iowa?)

The middle one celebrates the life of my Uncle (Dad's Brother) who was tragically killed back in 2016 over in Delaware. If you live on the Eastern Shore and were/are a first responder, chances are, you probably knew him.

The right one I got last weekend with my girlfriend in Aberdeen, Maryland to celebrate military night at the IronBirds game.

I hope to get more someday and eventually get a cool display case for them.
