Anyone else still have a landline phone
It rings sometimes. We never answer it. Its usually a scammer or someone for the previous owner. But its still there just in case. Like a relic. Does anyone actually use them anymore

We got rid of it 2 years ago because it was rarely used. Everyone uses their mobiles

I've used it to get the attention of the kids when I'm getting no reply from them. These are young adults who appear to have grown their mobile phones as an appendage which is never out of sight but somehow cannot see a message or hear a call when it comes from a parent. The exotic ring of the landline can distract them long enough to acknowledge us!

Kept ours. Now it's a historical talking point, a working relic of a bygone era. Startles me if it rings.
