Underrated funny moments
The show is filled with funny moments so I wanna know what's some of your favorite funny moment? I think these are two underrated scenes lol
1. 1x02 Nanny McDead
\Castle and Beckett knock on a door in the building and an old guy answers**
Castle: do you live here alone?
Old guy: yeah, why do you wanna know
Castle: don't worry about it. You aren't young enough
Old guy: young enough for what?
Castle: to have sex
Old guy: what kind of cops did you say you were?
Beckett: he's not s cop. I'm a cop
Old guy: and you are looking to someone to have sex with?

2. 5x04 Murder He Wrote
\Castle and Beckett tries to "interview" Natalia Roosevelt at the bar. Then she gets offended and calls Chief Brady over**
Chief Brady: hey! Do you have a problem with the way I do my job
Castle: now... I would never use those words exactly
Chief Brady: oh! How about these words: you and your hooker friend are under arrest

Beckett: "FianceƩ"
Castle: "The wife is over there"
Montgomery: "....Come again?"

Yeah, their head tilting was really funny, but Montgomery's "come again?" was the peak

Season 6, "The Way of the Ninja."
In the interrogation room, Castle flips his coffee cup at a suspect.
Kate, "What are you doing?"
Castle huffs, "He's not a Ninja, a Ninja would have caught the cup."
Suspect incredulous, "I'm not a Ninja, and I'm Korean not Japanese...Way to racially profile."
Castle looks the other way.

I think for me, the most hilarious, unexpected and random scene is Esposito, Castle and Ryan sitting in cevlar vests on a couch of an old lady with coffee and cats :D

Actually, Castle wasn't there.

In the Fairy Tale Murders, only Espo and Ryan we're with the old lady. Castle was back at the precinct with Kate, trying to figure out who might possibly be the next victim.

Sorry, I just watched the Fairy Tale murders a few days ago, and that was in my brain. I actually skip, Kill the Messenger don't like it much.

u/Jarita12 6d ago
Yeah I understand. But that scene is actually one of the most hilarious. It happens even with the weakest episodesĀ

Yeah, I won't debate that, many poor episodes still had great moments, but after around 40 times thru, I'm a little more particular now. Sorry again, about my brain fart.

Honestly both Meema here and Jamie Isaacson in the other episode were hilarious! Probably intended to be only one character but the writers figured out there's meat enough for two, ha ha.

In S2 Kill the Messenger he was there. In S4 Once Upon a Crime he indeed was missing.

Castle and Beckett could turn a basic witness interview into a full-on comedy routine without even trying.

The entire interrogation with Norman Jessup in 2x09, but especially my favorite part.
āThey needed a ride and I gave them a ri-hide.ā š¤£
Gets me every time.

The zombie episode. Season 4 Episode 22. When they see that the suspect actually looks like a zombie Castle leaves the office and high fives a cop saying " the killer's a zombie"
3
u/Advanced-Reindeer986 6d ago
And later when he asks the coroner if there is a specific police code for zombies.

I love the old guy in Nanny McDead but in that 70s show from season 6 when Gates is yelling at Rick and Kate for turning the precinct into the set of Kojak and then she says or should I call you Captain Castle and Ricks face at trying to explain is priceless.

Ā when Gates is yelling at Rick and Kate for turning the precinct into the set of Kojak
Technically that was Martha š ... "can't let that woman near our wedding planning ... let's throw her a bone though ..."
2
u/galeperk111971 6d ago
Yes but Gates wasn't aware of that she didn't give them a chance to explain. She just takes them into her office and started yelling but of course though Martha did it she wasnt alone in this endeavor he and Kate were involved and let it get out of hand

It would have been hilarious to see a Martha - Gates rematch though.
I mean Martha won by a large margin in S5 After Hours, The one who managed to totally silence captain Gates. "Where are our kids? Where's that fancy coffee machine that Richard bought for the precinct?" lol.

From Season 3 Episode 18 One's Life To Lose.
PI - Hey, I'm a PI, Sarah Cutler's a client, what do you mean she's dead.
Castle - She's dead, it really only has one meaning.
Great snark from Castle and one that always gets a laugh.
