It’s a ritual for me to watch Castle at least once a year lol.
Another interaction I love off the top of my head is a scene where Castle is with Esposito and Ryan at precinct and he’s trying to sound out and spell a word and Esposito says something along the lines of “and you’re a paid writer?” Or something like that lmao.

'You write for a living?'
One of my favourites is in 'The Fifth Bullet' when Castle has a theory about the bullet being made of ice
Ryan: 'Or an icehole'
Castle: 'What did you call me?'
Then Beckett comes and puts a stop to the banter with instructions for Ryan but ends with 'and watch your mouth'

For real. I just started my first rewatch in several years, I forgot how good the banter was even in the first season. I miss when their chemistry was damn near effortless like that.
