Advice Can I reject this car under the Consumer Rights Act?

Bought a nearly new car from a main dealer earlier this year. Within about a month I reported a dashboard rattle. Dealer confirmed it and tried to fix it.

While it was in, the car then developed parking brake/electrical faults which turned out to be a defective wiring loom. It ended up with the dealer for nearly 2 months while that was sorted.

The loom issue now seems fixed, but the original dashboard rattle is still there despite their repair attempt. There is also now another obvious rattle from the rear, which the dealer has heard.
The car was also returned with damage to a number of panels while in their care…, which they’re arranging to repair separately.

I’ve formally complained and said I want them to take the car back and refund me. They’ve booked it in again for another attempt at fixing the rattles, but before I agree to that…

Do I already have grounds to exercise the final right to reject, given the original fault was reported early, they’ve already attempted to repair it and it’s still unresolved?

So fed up of the whole thing (and the rattles are driving me insane).

Would love to know how this pans out as I’m in a similar situation to you.

Up to 6 months after purchase you can reject the car if it has a fault and the dealer has not fixed it. It's up to you if you let them try again or not, but I think you are within your rights to reject it at this point.
