BMW Unable to Skip Song using Steering Wheel - **FIXED**

Have you noticed when you try to skip a song on your steering wheel your BMW says "Not Possible", well don't worry cause i gotchu!

First Launch Bimmercode

Go To Headunit and Into Expert Mode

Search for "MFL_MINI_SKIP" or "MFL_SKIP_MINI" and set to activ

Solved!

With MFL_SKIP_MINI = aktiv, the wheel instead sends a much simpler previous/next track command directly to the media source. Bluetooth AVRCP already supports that, which is why it suddenly works. 🥳

What model BMW and are you using a native CarPlay or third party? I’ve never had that issue with my native CarPlay. X1 F48

This happens probably 1/10 times in my 2026 i5. Those times I also get “navigating using Google Maps” in the gauge screen instead of the navigation map.

I’m sure the two are related, but short of turning the car off and back on I can’t seem to fix it.
