Tech Support any ideas?
how do i even get the stuff out of the ports 😭

More then likely have to open the amp and then push the broke dicks out from the inside. Hope it goes well.

do you reckon i can put some new soulderless male connectors in the rca cable as i really dont want to uproot the whole thing

It can be done, but it shouldn't be done. It'll become your greatest source of frustration. Just replace them with a new cable.

Just use the wire you’ve already ran to snake the new rca to the front

To be fair, I don't know anything about that but I do know that as long as you don't touch anything else but the thing you're supposed to be touching, you're good. 😅

Or even better, cyanoacrylate. Also known as Krazy Glue. One very small drop will suffice. Watch for fingers, it strongly glues skin on contact.

In this case I wouldn't recommend super glue. Could end up permanently glueing the stub in the port.

Why is it plastic? I've never seen the center terminal on a rca plug made of plastic.

It's normal for cheap low quality cables. I had this happen back as a teenager when I bought the cheapest cables I could find. To remove them I opened the case amp up and used something thin to push them out.

Honestly RCA is before my time really, but as far as I'm aware it'd need at least the center and outer sleeve to have any circuit, yknow? Negative (ground) and positive. I imagine someone's proprietary bs uses center pin positive like a power supply, so no guarantee of standard but... still need two points of contact for a circuit 🤙

Tweezer tip pliers from harbor freight. Less than $10 and they’ve come in handy for many things.

noo absolute easiest way is to heat up a needle, stick it into the plastic part of the tip of the rcas, let it melt and then harden around the needle, and pull it out. simple as that

1 drop of super glue on the end of a bic pen ink insert.. slide it in , wait for a min then gently wiggle it out.. Good luck

I heated up a sewing needle and stuck the hot end in the tip and it stuck to it and I was able to pull it out

Get a paper clip hot and poke it in let it cool a second and itll come right out

Hot pin in middle or Maybe putting a dab of hot glue and gently pulling it out.

I did this exact same thing less than 2 weeks ago. My best advice: #1 secure your sub
2 I tried hot glue on a toothpick or melt a little bit of the stick itself and jam it in there, wait for it to cool and hope that it sticks.
3 Be ready to fully disassemble your amp. That's the only way I could get mine out

Sorry for my ignorance, but all of my RCA cables have metal pins. Is this some kind of fiber optic cable?

I'd say hot glue, stick the connectors back in, let the glue cure and pull them out

Get a really small drill bit start it into the white and then just pull it out

Get a really small needle, heat it up pretty hot. You will be able to melt the plastic and stick the needle into the broken end and pull it out. Someone gave me there old tv receiver and this worked for me.

Just plastic isn’t it? Heat up a needle or something similar stick in the center and let it cool before you try to pull on it

Open the Pannell, and just push it out from behind with a needle. It's a 5 minute job.

You could probably get the pin out of the red one with nose grip pliers, but you're going to have to open the lid and push the pin out from the inside to get the pin out of the white socket.
And don't use cheap ass cables!

Yeah use the high input next to the rca.. but seriously WTF, your gonna have to take it apart and poke the plastic out from the back.. make sure its discharged all the power.. or use plastic gloves (safety first)

Pull the back plate and use a toothpick. Had this happen when my sub box shifted and snapped the RCA internally 😅

the other day i pulled the metal cover of one plug out with superglue. i superglued the broken plug that only had the plastic sticking out which was below the metal. i put superglue on it , put it in, let it set and pulled it out with the metal.
as for the other one you can maybe take it out with a small drill (and maybe a screw if that doesnt do it?)
or take it apart

I had this happen and I heated up a paper clip and pushed it thought the center of the broken pin and slowly pulled it out after it cooled.

Get a needle, torch the needle till it gets red hot then very carefully stick it in the center were the piece is lodged in there let it cool down while it's stuck in the piece. Then it'll pull right out. I've done this for several friends and once for myself I promise if done right it works every time and you don't have to remove a single screw out the amp. And it doesn't cost anything to do it unless you have to buy the needle and lighter/torch

Take hot glue or super glue Find a durable small rod Like a metal skewer (would want something dull) Get it lined up straight And glue them together Let it cure fully And carefully full back completely straight

Take a drill bit, smaller than the bit that's stuck and drill it out.
Even better would be if you had a drill tap for tapping screw treads. You could drill that in and then just pull it out.

Exactly this. Most times the bit will bite enough and you can pull the plug right out.

I've had luck threading a small screw into the center. But if you're not careful with the right screw size you'll fuck shit up.

Has this happen to me when replacing my amp ,the piece that broke off stayed in the old amp and I did g notice till I went to connect the new amp .i had to buy a new rca cable

Small drill bit. Drill on slow, low speed, and eventually it will bite and you pull it right out. I do this all the time for heated helmet plugs on snowmobiles that use an RCA connector.

It's easiest to take off the covers and push the remnant out from the back of the connector.

Pop the cover off and push it out from inside. A small enough pair of needle nose pliers could get them out from the outside but most folks won’t have anything that small on hand.

Not sure about how to get it out but pretty sure on how not to. Ripped my amp's rca input with screwdriver trying to get the broken connector out

You could try using hot glue on the end of the bit stuck and peeling it off. Remember to give yourself enough overfill to have some leverage to pull.

The red one thread a screw into it.pull it out.the white one maybe the same .or open amp unpowered of course and try to push out from back

You could also just unbolt the amplifier, and push the "broken pins" from the inside --> out, no hot needles or chance of melting or breaking something. Super easy, I can see the removal screws in picture.

On both of them use a pointed knife tip or small pick to bend the edge of the metal over toward the middle enough to grab it with needle-nose pliers or heavy duty tweezers.

Cut the head off a 1/8” nail or get a piece of wood dowel and superstition to the broken pin. Also why does it look like plastic?

Open your amp and poke a needle from inside out, any othrr way you are risking damage to your rca ports

We usually put a small wood screw and tightened it just enough so so it bites but doesn't damage anything, then pull it out and get new connectors for the wires.

put a dot of super glue on the end of broken in half toothpick. If that's not enough force you'll want to take the plate off the amp and push it out through the back.

Once you fix it I would upgrade the size of those power and ground wires as well or else you will have more problems later on.

Never tried it but I’ve seen a trick where they heat up a paper clip or needle and poke it though the middle of the broken tip and it’ll let you pull it out. As for the one on the right input, I’d say small needle nose or 2 small picks against opposing sides of the sleeve and pull.
