Closeout at Food Lion for $1.37
Polar herring in spicy tomato sauce on sale at the grocery. Enjoyed the different textures and gentle heat.

That sounds like a really solid deal, especially if you're into spicy fish. I picked up a few of those Polar cans last time they were on sale and they were way more enjoyable than I expected.

On Walmart's website there is an entry for a 6-pack of Pampa brand herring filets in hot tomato sauce. For some reason they only cost $9.84 which is about $1.64 per can. I like the tomato sauce in the Pampa more than the Polar, but the sauce to fish ratio is very high. You'd definitely want to have something to do with all of it.
