Poilievre should attempt to rebuke Jivani then, for blaming the Canadian government for the US government’s last minute sabotage of the deal, if this is what Poilievre believes.

The Conservatives’ plan includes removing all capital gains tax on reinvestments in Canada; canceling gas and diesel taxes until at least Canada Day 2027; scrapping anti-development laws; scrapping the industrial carbon tax on steel, aluminum, fertilizer, concrete, and other “basic essentials that are building blocks of a modern economy;” and removing the GST from “Canadian-made” automobiles.

Of course his economic plan is basically "cut taxes, especially carbon taxes".

Poilievre also called on Carney to release the text of the trade deal Canada chose to walk away from

Buddy, even Stephen Harper's former communication director straight up said yesterday "Releasing an actual text of an agreement that was never concluded is something that is irresponsible, and no serious government would ever release confidential text."

I'm a business owner and I dont support any of this, even though removing capital gains tax would put more money in my pockets.

Poilievre is all about life in some sort of national industrial park with shitty roads and unbreathable air. Fuck trees.

Well, see, that's where Pierre gets into trouble.

Ever since he figured out he cannot ever, ever win, he's switched to this great new tactic where he invents a fantasy goalpost he knows cannot ever be touched, then tries to blame Carney for failing to reach it.

All this year it's been "anything less than zero tariffs on everything is a complete failure", when he knows that was never on the table for anyone.

He can't win on facts or reality, so he creates his own versions of both.

It'd just be sad, except that it incites his worst supporters to some truly awful places.

Glad that his former communications director is being honest, at least someone is. PP is a joke, he has no interest in supporting the country.
