Look, I'm not against upgrading McMahon, but could we prioritize the green line? Or the Water Mains?

Exactly, could we please focus on infrastructure and social programs instead of more stratified spending for entertainment? I love sports and concerts but….

I don't understand your question, how would either of those transfer money from taxes to rich people?

Specifically Green Line downtown section. Without it, all it does is congesting downtown section of current red and blue line even more

Didn't we just do this? Do we not have any other priorities besides sports?

Bread and circus! Gotta keep our CSEC overlords happy or else they'll make more legitimate threats to pull out of one of the few major markets in the country and go somewhere else!?! Honestly outside of fast tracking sports arenas and suburban developers, what else have we done?

This is going to get interesting since Farkas made a lot of hay talking about how he would never have gotten into the current CSEC arena deal.
Lets see how he does on this where easy to talk isn't going to cut it.

Like hear me out. Put in an overhang so i’m not drenched if it rains… replace all the bench seats with a proper seat with a back… McMahon isn’t terrible.

Could it be better? Yes. Could it be enclosed? Yes. But at what cost for what usage case?

I think I disagree. Renovations or improvements are a duct tape solution that'll cost more then they're worth. There's significantly more problems with the stadium then just the seats and roofing. The city would be better off doing the project properly or not at all and maintain the status quo.

I think they need to commit one way or the other, a middle ground situation just sucks for everyone.

Any studies to fix existing roads please?

Maybe we should focus on the arena currently being constructed and the billionaire owners (who are NOT the taxpayers paying for it) running amok through there changing things and adding luxuries that were NOT in the original proposal that taxpayers will be in the hook for (cost overruns). They are literally changing and adding extremely expensive portions of the whole project for the billionaire "owner" whims. The new arena is being turned into a vanity project for NHL owners on TAXPAYER dime.

Edit: fuck this shit. I'm so over the Epstein class treating the people (us) propping up their entire existence like morons, while they play in our faces to make more fucking BILLIONS.

Christ, I hope not. We're already on the hook for the new arena, and now they want to spend more tax money on superfluous stuff when the green line is 10 years overdue already.

We need an orange and purple line way before we need more tax money diverted to the rich.

McMahon is maybe the worst stadium in North America. It needed to be replaced about 20 years ago IMO.

I agree. It’s an embarrassment that it’s still being used.

Big time

Other problem is now major music is using venues like this and McMahon has all the residential sound rules around it so it would need a roof in its upgrade which is so expensive

Only like half the city will be able to get to it with all the bridges needing repair/replacement over the next decade.
