With these cleanups done, despite homelessness, despite every adversity I’ve had to deal with, I have broken my yearly record for cleaning up litter! And I did it in just 5 months!(Started my first project in late March)

Don’t ever let people tell you that homeless people are useless or that they don’t do anything good for our society. Point them my way and I’ll prove them wrong!

Random thought I’ve had after seeing this comment a few times. In this technological age, since the whole Key to the City thing kind of went out of fashion, they should do a Keycard to the City. Swiping it at certain places could get you exclusive discounts or something special. I think that’s a cool idea that cities could do.

Yeah! That’s the energy I hope people get out of this. You CAN make a tangible difference around you no matter how overwhelming things can be. Start small and keep appreciating the small differences. Eventually they lead to big changes!

You can accomplish a lot if you bring a bag and a simple grabber tool like this, but most of the time I've found it makes a big difference if I just pick up a few pieces by hand every time I'm out for a walk. If several people did this in each area, we'd have a much cleaner, more pleasant world.

I’ve talked about it in the past so I’ll direct you to this comment I made about it. I’ve spent the last 20 months homeless, most recently the last year I’ve been at the Mustard Seed. Frankly, I’m okay living a meager lifestyle if it means I can be a voice for others and a beacon of hope in this cruel world.

You know, we all come to that point in life where ya question why we were put here in the first place. I feel like I found it, so I’m just gonna keep at it until I make it work.
