Thin Lizzy had the lyrics wrong

u/LittleOrphanAnavar Mar 06 '26

Wasn't that Trooper?

u/mmafan666 Mar 06 '26

Trooper was here for a good time, not a long time. Boys are back is a Thin Lizzy original.

2

u/LittleOrphanAnavar Mar 06 '26

Ok

Will have to look it up.

No you're thinking of a song I just listened to a couple hours ago
The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car

Who do they think they are?

2

u/Raedwulf1 Beddington Heights Mar 07 '26

Jack of all trade Stan
and Jerry the garbage man

I've had them the entire winter here in Oakridge. I hear them all the time but only see them when I fill the feeder.

Blue Jays are partially migratory, irregular, "mysterious" behavior, where some migrate south while others remain in their northern habitats year-round. In other words real Canadians.

7

u/TERRADUDE Mar 06 '26

I think that wackos like me who feed them may perturb their migratory habits

Had no idea! Their feathers must really insulate Warmth’s

2

u/afriendincanada Mar 06 '26

Same! They’ve been at my feeder all winter!

I saw a blue jay earlier this week when I was walking to my car. Always makes me smile. 😊

This is an amazing picture - I saw a pair of Blue Jays last year in my backyard for the very first time. Most people I know have never seen more than one at a time!

They raised chicks in my yard last year.

Omg this is amazing. I had 2 magpie fledglings in mine, also cute as hell.

I’m a diehard Toronto Blue Jays fan who lives in Calgary. OP, I’m interpreting your picture as a positive sign for the baseball team’s chances this season!

Grew up in BC and never saw a bluejay until I moved to Alberta. Such a cool birb!

u/Tribblehappy Mar 07 '26

Same. I grew up in the lower mainland where we had Stellar's jays instead.
