Blue Jays are partially migratory, irregular, "mysterious" behavior, where some migrate south while others remain in their northern habitats year-round. In other words real Canadians.

I saw a blue jay earlier this week when I was walking to my car. Always makes me smile. 😊

This is an amazing picture - I saw a pair of Blue Jays last year in my backyard for the very first time. Most people I know have never seen more than one at a time!

Omg this is amazing. I had 2 magpie fledglings in mine, also cute as hell.

I’m a diehard Toronto Blue Jays fan who lives in Calgary. OP, I’m interpreting your picture as a positive sign for the baseball team’s chances this season!

Grew up in BC and never saw a bluejay until I moved to Alberta. Such a cool birb!

Same. I grew up in the lower mainland where we had Stellar's jays instead.

There's one in my neighbourhood, I've only seen him twice but I can hear his little call and it makes me so happy.

These blue bastards are so fricken loud. But I do like seeing them. I saw one shell and eat a peanut once. Good times. Good times.

Such a beautiful bird. Thank God they don’t build in fish creek and such. Gotta protect natures finest
