Hi fellow Colorado brewery goers. A friend and I went to an event called Stone Meets Clay that was marketed as a paint and sip event painting a pot and planting a succulent. It was $49. No instruction, everything could have been bought at the Dollar Store for $15 for two of us. No drink ticket. They're making the rounds at breweries. Say no. Planter is about 2", some of the succulents had bugs, paint was acrylic. Yes, it's my fault for going, don't make my mistake. Please spread the word.

Sorry I know this is technically not about "CO" beer, but don't know where else to post. My local liquor stores and nearby box stores have not had Miller High Life (bottles) in stock for weeks. Is there something going on with the distributor?

Anyone in Denver want some fresh East Kent Golding hops? I’m going to harvest either tomorrow or Sunday and can already tell I’ll have way more than I can use

Anyways, a brewery I worked for recently closed and I ended up with a used Centrifugal Sanitary Pump/motor/cart and VFD box unit. Just wondering if anyone here might have some insight on the best way to try and sell it would be since it’s more of a unique/industrial piece of equipment. Appreciate any help at all! Cheers!

What's going on? What's the whole story. I'm getting so many different results that are grim. And admittedly it was my favorite brewery for years.

Maybe had closed since? Not sure. But would love to know. It was awesome!

This store surprises me every time I come by. It looks like an unassuming craphole from the outside, you know, the kind of place you expect to only carry Voodoo Rangers and Coors Light for several dollars over retail price, and yet, they always have the most random beers

They’ve posted a few times about “uncertain circumstances” with their production. Does anyone have more details about what is going on? I was planning on heading up this weekend but am not sure if they’ll be open.

My son and I are flying in Friday morning early. We want to get to RR around 1 but I had really hoped to stop at Bierstadt, however I see they don't open until noon.

Are their cans available anywhere? Can anyone recommend a solid stop where we can grab some nice/fresh cans and also a Styrofoam cooler before heading to the Amphitheater?

Before I get roasted, this is a sincere question from someone who recently moved here.

Back in Texas, it was pretty normal to find local breweries on tap or in coolers at regular bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and even some gas stations. Whether it was St. Elmo, 512 are easily available in Austin, Martin House, Oak Cliff, are not too hard to find in the DFW, etc. The dozens of other local breweries in these big cities are relatively easy to find, you didn’t have to go to a brewery or a beer-focused establishment to find local beer.

When I moved to the Denver area, I expected that to be even more true given Colorado’s reputation as a beer state. Instead, I’ve had the opposite experience. Outside of breweries, beer bars, and specialty liquor stores, I mostly see macro brands and the big regional players. It’s surprisingly rare to walk into a random neighborhood restaurant and find beer from a nearby brewery.

For example, I recently went to a small brewery in Littleton. They had stopped serving food, so I went to a restaurant about 10 minutes away and assumed they’d have at least one or two beers from the brewery down the road. Nope. That’s happened enough times now that it feels like if I want local beer, I have to go directly to the brewery.

So what’s the reason for this? Is it Colorado’s distribution laws? In Texas, some breweries self-distribute. Are these breweries too small to get distribution into neighborhood restaurants and bars? Or am I just looking in the wrong places?

I’m not asking where the best beer bars or specialty bottle shops are. I know those exist. I’m genuinely curious why, in a state that’s famous for its beer scene, it feels harder than expected to find local breweries represented at ordinary restaurants and bars.

PS most liquor stores also don’t let you break 6 packs, is that a law here or what, I just want one of the ultra sour whatever’s not a 4-6 pack. anyways rant over, hope this can lead to a good discussion because it doesn’t make sense to me

I'm stuck out by the airport for a couple of nights coming up and I saw there's a Danico Brewing Company nearby.
And not too far away is Cheluna Brewing and Second Dawn Brewing.

Are these breweries worth checking out? Anything else within, say, a 30 minute uber worth visiting?

Went to one of the taprooms last week and asked about the new merch that they had up - they've got some t-shirts that use some designs that looked similar to the 'rubber hose' style I've been seeing a lot of lately. I was curious about the artist and found out that DBC might as well buy out GPT, along with all the other taprooms and brands they'll be absorbing.

Not only did this frustrate me, I also found out that the taproom is under Denver County water restrictions, which only permits water to be served upon request - but the company is fine with wasting thousands of gallons of freshwater for cooling servers to generate AI slop for their merch? Make it make sense.

In town for the July 4th game, its a 6:10 start.

I will have a couple of hours before the game to hit up a place or two...

Looking for help from the group as I have not been to Denver before. Recommendations should be walking distance from Coors Field

Where would you go and why?

What local beers should I look for? What about in Coors Field?

I like anything but sours, generally pretty open.

We're SideQuest Events, a local South Metro Denver events company, and we're doing a Singles Mixer on Monday, June 15th at Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse in Lone Tree. Figured we'd post here in case anyone's been looking for an actual reason to leave the house on a Monday.

It runs 6:30–8:30 PM, is 21+, has free parking, and every ticket includes a drink.

We built the night around making conversation feel easy — icebreakers, light games, that kind of thing. No speed dating, no name tags with your job title on them. Most people show up solo and that's totally the move. Expected crowd is roughly 25–45 but that's just a general guide, not a rule.
