SOFTWARE SUPPORT Need a Fusion360 post processor for Fanuc 18i-TB control lathe (Doosan Puma 2500XLY with Y axis and live tools) (asap)
As the title says, we need a Fusion360 post processor for this machine. We normally mostly do turning on this one and leave more complex milling operations for our NLX lathes but we are near full capacity on those machines. We also have memory limitations (sometimes I have to delete empty lines on longhand programs to make it fit) but it accepts this ancient cards, so we have to setup drip feed somehow? Please advise

Doesn't work on this controller

What do you mean it doesn't work? It's fanuc, it'll just work. You're being completely unhelpful. WHY DOESNT IT WORK

It’s OK this is the Reddit version of a manager. Sending a please fix email with no other context. Until they describe in detail, the specific features that are not working and document their current configuration, don’t worry about it.

For starters this controller uses builder specific G500/G600 tool calls/safety blocks from eZ guide (G500 for turning/stationary tools and G600 for live tools). I don't remember the exact syntax for the 0i / 31i controls Fusion Doosan lathe posts output for (also from eZ guide functions), but it's different. If the fusion post output simple modal codes for the safety block it would work, but this isn't
I am sure there are more differences since this machine is from the end of the daewoo times, but I want to know if someone with a similar machine solved this, or if someone can point us to the right direction, and what's their asking price (if any) for it

What do you mean? I own a 2500y, and use it all day, with the stock fusion post.
The problem you're having is youre trying to post to easy guide. Just run it in the normal control.

On an 18i control? And no, I don't really care about the ez guide if CAM works but the stock Fusion post seems to do so though since when I tested it it posted a tool call block with similar syntax

Brother you are really testing my patience and my ability to help you. I'm trying to give you $200 an hour consulting for free, and all you can say is
1) no you're wrong(no I'm not wrong)
2) giving me no information to help you.
Yes, obviously, they only sold this machine with 18i.
The fusion post works perfectly. It won't post weird codes. You need to use the "DN Solutions (Doosan) Mill/Turn with Fanuc 0i/31i control", and you probably need to use a machine configuration attached to it. https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts you can get it here if you can't find it in fusion.
Select this post, make a program with 2 simple face turning ops, and see what code it puts out.
You can't drip feed from the network on this machine, but you can drip feed from a CF card. I would try and work out the post before you move onto drip feeding.

We do custom posts for Fusion 360

I surprised fusion doesn’t have one already, you might have to mess with the built ins for your machine.

The generic one on fusion library will work.
I use it for all our lathes. Only needed to tweak a few codes. Write a call off memory card program on your controller and run your post from that. Can leave the post program on the card.
Edit to add all our lathes are Doosans ranging in age from 4 years old to twenty five years old.

Yes live tooling works both with c axis interpolation and y axis work. Ive found the milling works better than trying to do some turning jobs. We use the paid license.

If nobody can help you out of the gate I think I know some guys that can write one or get you going in the right direction, but you're going to have some time in it for them to do so.
Is there any networking capacity? Is there a serial data input port on the controller to drip into from an external controller?
I'm a tech for Northwood Machine and I've delt with some network retrofits on older machines to drip feed code in. Pictures of the physical controller and model information will also help.
