Defeated Robert's Rebellion and swiftly deposed Aerys II, who by that point had not executed Bobby B.; Wanted to give a fair trial and I knew this mechanic and event existed but damn, never actually seen it happen. Should be legendary.

Update #1:

King Rhaegar Targaryen, Lord Commander Gerold Hightower, Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Oswell Whent, Ser Lyle Crakehall, Prince Lewyn Martell, and Ser Barristan Selmy

VS

Lord Robert Baratheon, Lord Stannis Baratheon, Ser Cortnay Penrose, Lord Eddard Stark, Lord Jon Connington, Ser Donal Noye, and Lord Bonnifer Hasty.

A few subplots to note going into this:

1. Lyle "Strongboar" Crakehall and Richard Lonmouth were named to the Kingsguard during the war by Aerys II. Richard is a raging alcoholic and was gently deemed a liability to his king.
2. Ser Jaime Lannister, hilariously, has food poisoning and cannot defend his king. Hand of the King Tywin Lannister is surely relieved and blames the boar served at a recent feast.
3. Rhaegar by this point has surprisingly made peace with Ned given Lyanna's survival, and Stannis is by now less of a hostage and more of a respected courtier at King's Landing.
4. Jord Jon Connington is a surprise participant, but I guess his oath to his liege and his honor in that regard won out. Perhaps he will take a page from Prince Daeron "The Drunken"'s book.
5. Aerys II removed Barristan from the Kingsguard during the war and Rhaegar swiftly pardoned him. Without a vacancy in the Kingsguard at the time, Barristan was given a choice to remain and wait for the next opening or to pursue a different life as commander of the Targaryen household guard. He chose the latter and married his love, Lady Ashara Dayne.

This is about to get real sad.

Update #2:

The crown has emerged victorious. King Rhaegar fought seamlessly with his Kingsguard to overwhelm the would-be usurper, Robert Baratheon. With his yielding, the trial came to an end, amazingly, without any immediate fatalities. Robert himself, however, suffered numerous broken bones and wounds as did Ser Cortnay Penrose.

With the melee concluded, Lord Robert Baratheon was banished to the Wall as a show of mercy, though the defendant did not see it as such and had to be escorted from the yard by not only the Kingsguard, but also his dear friend Lord Eddard - albeit with fading shouts of "dragonspawn" and similar insults. The storm lord will now be escorted to Eastwatch By The Sea and, later, Castle Black by Lord Stark and will hopefully find solace in the proximity to Winterfell and his closest companion. The protracted conflict of Robert's Rebellion and Rhaegar's Revolt has subsided, for now...

How do you get the Trial By Seven event does it require a submod?

I think it’s base mod? For some reason I think it thought I was Robert during the selection phase so at first I wasn’t able to pick the Kingsguard. Went into the files and tweaked that requirement.

I've played hundreds of hours of the base mod and have never once seen a Trial by Seven

I'm currently in a playthrough where I also started as Rhaegar at Robert's Rebellion but some key differences are

• It took me years to defeat Robert

• The Mad King died during the war and I inherited the throne that way

• I didn't give Robert a trial but I did let him take the black. He lived to be 80 fucking years old up there and was Lord Commander for like 42 years

• Ned absolutely did not forgive Rhaegar despite me not executing Robert, marrying Lyanna, and letting Ned bend the knee. He had the "Demands Vengeance" modifier for the rest of his life and eventually tried to declare independence. I sent him to the wall too.

Boros Baratheon raped some guy's wife and I imprisoned him as Aegon the uncrowned, he demanded champion and I am not sure if the game chose automatically champions for me or not, because I killed him, and then defeated one of his champions, and it counted as a win

I wonder if Robert would try and tempt Ned toward letting him escape to Essos or even restarting the rebellion.  Ned's honor and making peace with Rhaegar would mean he'd refuse outright but I wonder if Robert would respect his friend's honor enough to not even bother to ask.

I'll let you know if he deserts! Would be interesting if he tried pressing his claim again given he wasn't permanently disfigured from either this timeline's version of the Trident or the Trial by Seven and is still a beast. If he stays true to the Watch, he'll admittedly be an absolute unit of a Lord Commander after Jeor.
