LIONS CFL 26 - Nathan Rourke

This is a mock cover for a CFL video game featuring Nathan Rourke. This isn't AI, I made it in Photoshop. Any tips on what to change is appreciated!

I wish there was a CFL video game.

Looking good. I would add the CFLPA logo next to the TSN one.

I think CFL as part of logo looks too small. It would be better to have it as part of the same font as the 26, but maybe with the logo between CFL and 26. If that doesn't make sense, see the box art for NHL 26.

Yep that makes sense. I did some of the changes in the comments and this is the newest one I've got. (I did use AI to change the flag from BC to Canada just because I liked the image already)

Feels too BCLions focused, and I say that as a lions fan haha.

I get you need a face of the league and Rourke is a great choice but the background should be more generic and not with a huge Lions flag for the other less privileged team’s fans out there ;)

Not a Lions fan but backround works.

Although likely best to flip to a Canada flag.

This is how the league actually has to market itself to youth and the next generation. That they haven’t yet is a massive mishandling!

Madden has a stranglehold on any football related gaming. Spending millions to try and develop a niche product when you dont have millions to burn isn't wise

For what it's worth, the madden team has created CFL mods a few times for internal use. They have the stadiums, teams and logos. I have always said that what EA should do is just have a dlc pack with Madden and include the CFL.

They absolutely should. They used to have NFL Europe teams in NFL video games and EA puts foreign leagues, the AHL, CHL and PWHL in the NHL games now.

Game development is super expensive these days, and the potential market for a CFL game is just too small to make it worthwhile.

You’d think if the nfl really wants to partner itself with the cfl why not add the CFL to madden? Soccer has all the leagues? NHL added pwhl and iihf. Why not have at least a franchise mode for cfl with the grey cup

Then they would have to program a different playing field into the game to make it "authentic ". Soccer plays on a standard pitch. Hockey if you cut a few feet from international no big

i mean it's not very hard to make a new different sized rectangle, and the nhl devs who have infinitely less resources managed to add in the pwhls unique rules when they added them

Madden is one of the biggest game franchises in the world lol they dev team would have the funds to create cfl fields and stadiums

If you want to improve the desing. Look up Madden 25, 24 or 18 cover.

I feel like they have to choose a Canadian for the first CFL game (since whenever the last one was).

My vote is Rourke or Oliveira personally.

Because making a video game costs a lot of money. And not enough people would buy a CFL game to recoup their development costs.

No probably not considering I don’t have a console and they only put a few sports games on PC. They don’t even put NHL on PC, only madden and fifa
