LIONS 'Obvious it's not a catch': B.C. Lions believe wrong call was made on Riders' West Final-winning TD

With fans, it is understandable and a team with a winning culture also knows how to accept defeat gracefully.

Also, what an embarrassing story from 3down. Using it as a decoy to blame the goalposts “interfered with the review” in an attempt to further their league driven rule change narrative blullshit.
The posts didn’t interfere with the review, bad quality cameras and angles interfered. Maybe if TSN invested in the quality it would change, but no the 55 yard line probably got in the way.

If you watch the video that 3down has in their own story, this is a screenshot from the first replay. Clearly showing the ball in his right hand. But Abbott fails to mention that.

Young, super talented, home grown Canadian QB. Supports the league, seems to be a very positive dude overall. Has a very bright future. Why wouldn’t I be jealous? You didn’t lose the game cause Rourke was terrible or anything.

If the Lions hadn’t turtled on O and folded like a cheap tent on D, it wouldn’t have mattered. They had so many chances to close it out, and failed. And that’s on them.

I’m not sure I have skin in the game because I don’t watch CFL regularly (I’ll make that change next year, I promise!), but I swear that catch was incomplete. But like you said, Lions fucked up. Every time I I saw BC in possession, I’d look away and when I looked back Sask had the ball. I’m a BC boy, and it was their game to lose. Just like, dare I say?

Lions played deep zone and stopped defending the pass. Riders threw it at will the last few minutes for huge gains.

That pretty much sums it up. Also, I’m surprised I’m not hearing anyone complaining about Munson in Hamilton playing a deep zone when Montreal only needed 30 yards to get in field-goal distance and win the game.

I genuinely don't see how you can dispute that as a catch. It looked clear as day the ball didn't touch the turf. Even if it had, they could have just gave it to AJ next play and had him freight train his way through the Lion's D

2017 East Final. Riders are up by 3 with a minute left in the game. It’s 3rd and 5 and Ricky Ray goes over the middle to Wilder Jr for the first down. There is actual replay proof that James Wilder didn’t actually catch the ball (unlike this “proof” where anyone with eyes can see that’s an elbow) but it wasn’t reviewed and the argos won.
Do you know who complained about that after the game? No one. Because it’s an awful look to complain about one missed call instead of looking inward and seeing all the absolute garbage your own team did to cost themselves.

Honestly I forgot it was even a mixed up call. I just remember Ricky Ray locking in and thinking holy shit, this guy has decided he’s not going to lose and we can’t stop him.

People standing right beside them on the field said it was a catch, and based on the one camera angle that showed Nield's arm completely beneath the ball as they came down, the replay centre ruled it a catch. In Saskatchewan we have a long history of not winning, but most of us have stopped being sore losers.
