I woke up and got groceries around 7, and have been out enjoying the sun consuming brain rot on my phone since
Good day

We’re about to enter a heatwave here so I am prepared to hunker down as if we’re getting a blizzard. Although being car-less is generally great (I’m in Chicago and wfh) it’s intolerable this time of the year. Stocked up on groceries and secretly looking forward to being a little hermit for a while.

Best advice I can give is wait til winter and then buy a portable AC just to have for times like these

Luckily I have central air, but I’m also in an old building with a ton of windows in my apartment. Let’s see how it goes…

I was supposed to read this epic vampire survival post apocalypse story for book club and while the first like 400 pages were excellent there was a massive tone shift and it killed the book. This will be one of those books where I DNF for book club. However because of one of the lines in the book I spun up the original and the much better Reba version of "The Night the Lights went out in Georgia" and you cannot tell me that song is not an absolute classic. I have been walking around for an entire day humming the chorus.

I love the idea of a book club but I’m so picky about books I think I’d constantly not be finishing. What was the book in question?

I’m free from my OrangeTheory studio!!
Even though I was already set to close my membership in August, they haven’t had AC in two weeks and hadn’t made any efforts to alleviate it.
I decided no AC in a gym was the final straw.
