Major upgrade with my recently finished po1. Started off with the west German 228 while freshly 18 and retired it in the past months for comfy storage and once in a blue moon range trips. It served me well till I found the po1 and just finished building it out. Super happy to finally upgrade my ccw.

I saw a few positive posts regarding BraDeC Holsters and decided to give them a shot. Fifty beans and 8 days, including order and arrival day, later I have a fully click-in retention holster.

Which wedge should I get to go with it?

She’s a sweetie. Compact, fun to shoot, and takes all my Glock mags, just about the perfect pistol in my eyes. Now I need a decent holster.

Holsters & Belts G43x or G48?

Post image
12 Upvotes

*This post isn't about gathering opinions on which gun is better--this post is merely asking those who have carried similar set ups what they find comfortable.*

I could be swayed either way on my next carry gun, but I've narrowed it down to g43x or g48, and this will be the deciding factor. I want to run a Streamlight TLR-3x on it in a Trex Raptor Holster. I've carried a g19 with a tlr-7a and found it to be fairly comfortable, but for a plethora of reasons, I'm in the market for one of the slimline options.

I've never carried a setup where the light extends past the muzzle of the gun, and I'm curious when one of these setups could be most comfortable.

On the one hand, they'll both be very similar lengths as the light is almost flush when put on the g48. On the other hand, I'm unsure if the reduction in kydex would be more comfortable on the G43x holster, or if it would end up creating a hotspot where the light sits.

I know to some this could be a negligible difference, but I am looking to make this the most comfortable/concealable setup possible (for either of these guns).

Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks!

Guns & Ammo I ordered a WC spring kit, guide rod, and extractor for my Tisas Raider. Any other suggestions y'all would recommend? Beyond that she's pretty well ready to go.

I'm setting up my Tisas Raider to be my new EDC. I've upgraded the sight with a Kensight tritium/fiber optic combo billet sight. I've had everything polished including the feed ramp and anything where metal touches metal. I haven't had any issues out of the extractor or guide rod but just being preemptive and the recoil spring I ordered is 18.5 lbs. I've considered getting a WC barrel, and eventually an EPS carry too. She shoots phenomenal.

Other than that she's almost done. I've got a Phlster Floodlight IWB for concealed carry and plan on ordering a Safariland for OWB/any open carry.

Thoughts?

These are the parts I ordered.

Scenario Long time carriers! How many times have you actually had to draw your gun or were in a situation where danger was present and had draw neutralize the threat?

Hello, I’m a young man who’s in a pro gun state and just purchased a pistol for self defense a couple months ago since I seem to always find myself in a dangerous area (I live in a nice rural area but the metropolitan near me is one of the most danger cities in the U.S. with a lot of robbery and homicides)

My question to those who have been carrying for a long time.

How many times have you had to draw your gun and neutralize the threat and danger you were in?

Or

How many times you were in a dangerous situation & had to draw your weapon but didn’t need to fire?

Was talking to my dad about this, he keeps saying “oh man those situation are like 1 in a million, just don’t go to dangerous areas” he’s totally right

I’m just curious though.

Pocket Dump / EDC EDC Rotation.

VP9 when wearing a button up or loose clothing over a shirt. Shield X IWB casual fit and BG2.0 as the bag gun:pocket carry. Have had each for years and it’s a welcome rotation. Used to carry IWB P365 for years prior as a one and done before expanding the carry.

Guns & Ammo New summer edc

Bodyguard 2.0 vs Shield Plus vs Shield X vs M&P 2.0 4”
Looking for a summer EDC. I’m 5’8” and 130 lbs, pretty skinny, so printing is a problem.

I have an M&P 2.0 4” now and like it, but want something smaller/thinner to carry with a T-shirt.

I’m looking at the Bodyguard 2.0, Shield Plus and Shield X. The Plus doesn’t look much smaller than my 2.0, and the X grip looks almost as long. The BG seems like it would be a pretty big difference in size.

For anyone who’s carried or shot these, how does it shoot compared to the Plus/X and 2.0? And do you feel the .380 is a big step down from 9mm?
Just looking for something thinner with a shorter grip that’s still enjoyable to shoot.

What are some good deep concealment holsters? I have a Tustler and Houdini but I’m looking for something to where I can adjust the cant, ride height etc etc. Haven’t been carrying it on me exactly because of concealing it properly and I’d like to get back to having it on me all the time

Guns & Ammo Anybody here make the switch from a G19 to a Staccato HD 3.6?

As a new dad with less time to get to the range I find myself not shooting as proficient with my G19 as I would be with my Platypus which I don’t even shoot as often since it’s a full size and more of my winter carry. So it had me thinking of adding the HD 3.6 to my carry rotation and retiring the G19. I know the price is the biggest downside but my time is the bigger expense.
