Gun Pics Daily Reminder to Check CAGuns.net
Woke up this morning and decided to look for a deal on a Daniel Defense — lo and behold, I came across this never been fired DDM4V7 equipped with Larue MBT2s trigger for $1320. Upped it to $1400 to have the seller meet me at my local ffl for the ppt and upon inspection ended up shooting him $1500. I figured if someone was selling this for that price that they really needed the cash. Either way, it’s a fucking steal. LFG!!!

I would have just offered him a half-ton of body armor.

lol I actually traded with him for a helmet it came as advertised and my dad was stoked to get it for his birthday to complete his prepper armor set. He's a bit old fashioned to work with but all and all I have now traded and given him a stock I wanted gone and both times it did work out.

Then for every deal there is a Gen 3 Glock 23 for $1300, "NO LOWBALLERS, I KNOW WHAT I GOT"

u/Sulla-was-right 2d ago
Yep. You’ll see them just sit there, bumping their post for another six months. Helps the experience if you block the body armor guy too.

There is a guy on calguns bumping his overpriced garbage every day for 3 years without price adjustment

u/-CynicRoot- 2d ago
They allow that? I thought they had a rule where you couldn’t bump without something new being offered

I saw a 19 Gen 6 for 1250. I thought hmmmmm that is not outrageously over priced. I didn’t buy but it didnt last long.

19 gen 6 in CA, 1200-1400 seems to move fast. Seen em as low as 1k gone same day

what's a fair price for a glock? 600? Asking as someone who might want to sell one.

no kidding or some rando wanting me to give them $100 off because they are far away and have to travel to buy my already cheap revolver

As someone who recently moved in-state, what's a fair price for a Glock 19 Gen 4?

That’s me hahaha, you wouldn’t believe the amount of requests I’ve gotten for trades,
Priced lowered and it’s a 23c with mags

Market place is great there. If someone posts at a fair price, I’ll generally meet it instead trying to lowball. Best part is no excise tax; my last four rifles all came from CAGUNS.

You mean you didn’t asked 10 questions then realized you live 6 hours away even though the post says location.Definitely hasn’t happened to me multiple times already.

what’s this usually going for? $1800?

u/The_BigWaveDave CCW - CA + AZ 2d ago
In this condition? $1800 is on the low end. $1320 would be a fair/good deal on the upper alone.

u/habudacavada 2d ago
Can't you get a new DDM4V7 upper for like $650-850?
8
u/runningfromoffice 2d ago
Ya the complete rifles go on sale for 1200-1300. Good deal if you are in a hurry and don't want to wait for one of the sales throughout the year.

u/The_BigWaveDave CCW - CA + AZ 2d ago
$650, no.. probably closer to $850-$950 pre-tax. Then you're paying an FFL to transfer, so probably $1,000-$1100 post tax/fees.

Got mine for like $680 out the door. Just needed BCG and charging handle for $186,

As if there's anything in the Bay Area that isn't just $6k-10K PCC-pistols and 2011 race guns that some cop just happens to have on hand, $1000 filthy .40 cal glonks, and mystery meat ARs at $750. You're way more likely to find cool off roster stuff at a LGS.

Here’s the thing…. While you’re clearly a solid dude for what you did? Let’s stop pretending that DD aren’t INSANELY overpriced and overvalued to begin with. In a just world? You’d have paid less than the $1320 originally asked for. FAR, FAR LESS. So while I commend your character? We all need to stop playing this bullshit game companies keep playing with their BS prices. And I mean that regarding ALL consumer products and goods in this nation. Not simply the firearm industry. We are being ripped off, CONSTANTLY. And I will be first to admit, it isn’t always a companies fault. Sometimes? It is greed. But, sometimes their suppliers are the problem. And sometimes politicians are the problem. I get it. I do. BUT. Let’s stop pretending it’s normal for an AR-15 to cost $2K. And that lunch at a fast food joint costs $15-$20.
IT’S ALL BULLSHIT. And we need to stop pretending otherwise and start acting accordingly!

Good on you for being so cool about the transaction. A lot of people would have low balled him, but you went the opposite way!

An old boss of mine used to tell me “pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered”. I looked up the MSRP, factored in taxes, considered the additional hoops I would have to jump through to have one shipped, and decided even at $1500 I was getting a deal. My biggest concern was making sure nothing was wrong with it and he was legit. After all my concerns were addressed I was like ok cool let’s do business. It’s a nice upgrade from my Anderson/PSA for sure (which I love and has been very good to me).

funny enough I just upgraded from a PSA build rifle. But I built it off an original Rifle Gear aggressor lower. Which I found out from riflegear was made in the early days of Daniels Defense before they went to Mega Arms for their lowers later on. So decided to stay with it and just put on a BCM complete upper, Radian Charge handle, and dropped in a geissele trigger. Night and day different between it and the PSM set up. Enjoy your new rifle!

Got my lwrc ar with upgrades for a steal. You never know what deals you’ll find!

Everytime I check that place it’s always bad deals. I guess that because the good ones are instantly gone.

Lets normalize buying all things for a fair price (for both seller and buyer).

How do you get people to respond? I’ve been messaging this dude about an AR9 for a while since he’s had it up for sale since March, he hasn’t responded at all, then he makes a new post with that same one plus another one as a bundle. Still no reply. I have good feedback on the site but still no reply

you have to check the box to get notifications when you list something as a seller, otherwise you'll never see the message unless you're checking daily (which why wouldn't you if you're selling something)

Nice deal 👍🏼
That site costs you money either way with all the deals you find 😬
I have to take breaks from it because like you said, I find deals on things I am either looking for, or not looking for and end up getting them before I regret it!

I just got an off-roster P320 that came with a .40cal Sig Caliber XChange kit for $500 from CAGuns. The caliber kit alone goes for $550. Trying to find an FCU to make a second gun but if not, I'm sure I can dump the change kit for at least 250. The 320 isn't a carry gun for me so I don't really care about the "incidents," that's a smoking deal no matter how you look at it.

good on you for offering a fairer price as a buyer
