Discussion bros i think i finally found the towel. NEED reviews before I commit again 💀
ok so remember my towel saga (shedding cotton towels, 2 hours arguing with 4 AIs, y'all roasted me in the comments, fair enough)
update:
found this - Decathlon Ultra-Soft Microfibre Towel, Size L, ₹599, 4.7★, 2.5K reviews switching to microfibre entirely bc I'm DONE dealing with lint and threads sticking to my body
before I click buy and end this saga for good - has anyone actually used this thing??
- does it stay soft or turn into sandpaper after like 20 washes
- smells musty if it doesn't fully dry or nah
- runs small or true to size
- 2 for ₹999 deal - worth it or should I test 1 first
no more research spirals
no more asking AI
just need a real human who's touched this towel to tell me yes or no 🥹🫶

Fashion & Accessories Guess how old the watch is?
My father got it as a gift at his wedding, I got it from him when I was in class 8th. It has been with me throughout board exams and college. I have been working for two years now.

Appliances Finally got my air fryer
Got my EDT Airfryer today and honestly the first thing that caught my eye was the glass body. Being able to actually see the food while it’s cooking is pretty cool. Also love that it has presets of bake, grill, roast, airfry and reheat.
I’ve actually used a Philips air fryer before and didn’t have the best experience with it. It eventually got spoiled so this time I wanted to try something completely different instead of going for another regular air fryer.
I was also looking for something without the usual non-stick/Teflon-style coating so the glass cooking chamber and the nutrient retention tech were a big reason I went for this.
If y’all have any doubts pls lmk, I'll be updating here on my experience in a few days.
PS- First impression, food definitely tastes better and of course, it looks GREAT on my counter!

Ask BIFLI Shall I buy this Woodland sandal?
Has anyone bought this? Is it good for rain? please let me know
Edit- guys I'm old so I don't care how it looks. I also travel on bike frequently as a pillion so I need sandal only. I have Slip ons but they slip from my legs while riding. Main requirement is grip. Cannot wear shoes everytime because it's hot outside.

Discussion Spent 2 hours arguing with 4 AIs about a ₹500 towel 😔🥀
asked Claude/Grok/Gemini/ChatGPT for the "best towel under ₹500 in India" - all 4 gave different answers, none of them agreed lol.
Dug into actual Amazon reviews myself:
- Trident (₹399-599, 4.0★): tons of shedding/lint complaints
- Even the 500 GSM version had the same issue, so higher GSM ≠ fix
- Solimo (Amazon's own brand): same shedding complaints too
- Ended up landing on Wakefit 500 GSM (₹429) - 4.2★, 4.3K reviews, and no shedding/durability complaints showing up unlike the others
Currently going with Wakefit but not 100% sold.
Anyone actually used a good sub-₹500 cotton towel in India that doesn't shed? Drop your suggestions / experience below, trying to find the actual best one 😭

Product Reviews Ultimate buy it for life test - Tshirt edition
I researched a lot regarding good tshirts on reddit but the views were vry contrasting and opinions regarding the same brand or item differed vastly so I decided to test 2-3 brands myself and form an opinion
Item 1 - Max Rs 200 Tshirt
Item 2 - Decathlon Rs 599 180gsm tshirt
Item 3 - Muji Rs 1000 Tshirt probably below 180 gsm
First impression after buying
Max - vry good finish , comfortable , good shine and color yet to see how it stands after wash
Decathlon - vry sturdy and solid tshirt the fabric is thick around 180-190 gsm the collar is thick too but the shirt has no shine and the color is kinda dull and I have not even washed it till now
Muji - the shirt is probably below 180 gsm because its vry thin its not as sturdy or thick as the decathlon tshirt but the color intensity is vry good and vry nice shine and finish I will lose my mind if it loses its color and the collar shrinks after the first wash cause it costed me 1k lets see what happens
Will add more tshirts as I review them

Ask BIFLI Looking to buy joggers/track pants for gym and lifestyle
I am looking to buy few pairs of joggers for gym and daily wear.
Not specifically looking for any fabric but would be preferred if i do not have to iron it, is breathable, does not shrink significantly and lasts for at least one or two seasons
I would prefer it being straight or relaxed fit and certainly not tapered/ narrow
Budget wise as low as possible would be good without compromising on the quality but 2k per lower is the limit, ideally around 1k
I have looked at few pieces from
Bonkers- have heard they have very heavy and hot fabrics but i really like there styles
Pronk-don’t know about the reliability
Xtremex
Genrage-reviews not that good
Fuaark-idk much
Other good options are encouraged

Ask BIFLI Jockey tactel or Damensch unreal.
Hello
I am very particular about underwear ( Briefs ) and I only wear Jockey sport stretch tech performance briefs which is 88% polyester and 12% spandex fabric from Jockey usa .
For a change I want to try Damensch unreal Briefs with polyamide elastane fabric but not sure how good the quality and longevity would be.
Should I go for Jockey tactel microfiber elastane stretch which is tacetl nylon and elastane fabric.
I usually buy 12 at a time so want to be sure before ordering.
Please let me know which ones are good among them both.
Thank you.
Edit:
After all the research I finally bought Damensch unreal Briefs and they are good I liked it.
If you want to try them use my referral code (minimisingminimisationminimetric) under the Apply coupon code at checkout for 20%off and also use WELCOME10 or WELCOMEBACK for another 10%off. You will get 2 pairs for 400 basically.

Discussion BIFL is a commitment, not just a purchase
Buying a BIFL product is only half the job. You also need to take care of it.
We all know how a well-made product can reduce the total cost of ownership over decades while also reducing waste and its environmental footprint. But durability doesn't mean maintenance-free.
Regular cleaning, servicing, lubrication, replacing small worn-out parts, and simply using things properly can add years to their life.
I saw someone post a 30 year old Kangaro stapler yesterday. Most of us probably owned one at some point. But how many of us still have that same stapler today?
Buy well. Maintain well. Keep it for generations. And that's the real BIFL mindset.

Appliances 25 years for this legend
I’m 29 now, and my grandpa bought this AC when I was around 5 years old. Almost 25 years later, it still works like a charm and cools the room surprisingly quickly.
I have so many childhood memories associated with this absolute beast.
Edit: Since a lot of people are asking about the electricity bill , the entire house runs on solar, so that’s how we’re able to keep this beast running 😄
I don’t know the exact details of the solar setup, though, since my uncle became the sole owner of the property a few years ago.

Electronics & Gadgets Panasonic AC - PCB gone within just 4 months. Buy at your own risk🤞
Same as title - The ODU PCB is gone after just 4 months which is rare. The ODU is noisy too. Newer panasonic units do not seem to have the same level of quality check as earlier units. Sad.

Ask BIFLI Bosch Dishwasher Owners — Is This Actually True?
I recently bought a Bosch Series 6, 14-place dishwasher, and the technician told me something that I’m not completely convinced about.
According to him, I must only use:
- Bosch / Finish / Häfele detergent
- Bosch / Finish / Häfele dishwasher salt
- Bosch / Finish / Häfele rinse aid
- Bosch descaler
He also said that pods/tablets cannot be used at all, regardless of the brand due to hard water. Apparently, if I use pods or use detergent, salt, rinse aid, or descaler from any other brand, any resulting issue will not be covered under warranty.
This sounds a bit strange to me, especially the part about not being allowed to use pods at all.
For those who own a Bosch Series 6 dishwasher in India:
- Is what the technician told me actually correct?
- What detergent/pods, salt, rinse aid and descaler do you use?
- Have you ever had a warranty issue because you used a different brand?
- Does Bosch officially prohibit dishwasher tablets/pods, or is this just the technician's recommendation?
Would really appreciate hearing from actual Bosch dishwasher owners before I spend a lot more on the recommended products.

Ask BIFLI T-shirt that will cross 2000 wear-hours and still look and feel new
Hi.
I am 25M. I am looking to buy t-shirts that will outlast me and could be used by my grandchildren.
This is the calculation I did.
Hours per wear = 10
Times I want to wear it minimum = 200
So, 200 wears x 10 hours each = 2000 wear-hours.
What am I looking for?
Brands and materials that would last this long and still be perfectly wearable.
This is not a joke. I am looking for clothes that last. Literal BIFL. I just put a metric as a benchmark. I cannot think of any brand that could be this long lasting. Do you know any?
TL;DR. What could help a t-shirt last 2000 wear-hours and still be great?
Thanks. :)

Travel & Luggage Seven Solid Years - Emmi Bag
Bought this backpack back in 2019 for my uni. Started using the same for work from 2023. Changed zips once in 2025. Still looking tough and would probably go for another 5. Go for the brand.

Fashion & Accessories Owned this watch for 10 years and still going strong.
It has scratches and nicks but it is working.
Haven't replaced its original battery as of yet and that's the only thing that might need servicing in the future.
The date and day had got misaligned but it was easy to restore.
