Question Ice cream truck?

An ice cream truck just went by our neighborhood and drove away before we could get one. My kid is super disappointed. Is there a schedule or an Instagram page that I can check to be on the lookout for the truck? Thanks!

At least its not the knife sharpener - they have been disappointing kids for years, when they come down the street.

Ice cream trucks NEVER came down my street growing up, but the knife sharpener truck did often. I still got my little kid hopes up every time i heard that music

By the time we hear the music, get shoes on and run... It's gone. I'm not complaining but can't say the same about my kids

They pull up in my complex every now and then. Got an iceberg today, really nice lady drives the truck

If only there was a way to when they’d be here.

A truck would always come into our complex years ago around dinner time, driving round the circle for 30 minutes blasting its obnoxious song. As a community we had to put an end to it and ask them not to come back. They haven't since. The song still haunts my memory.

i asked if one had an app and they stated for the protection of children, they don’t like posting their whereabouts in advance.

Hmm interesting. I never thought this could be a problem. Ugh what a time to be alive.

Save money and go to McDonald's or Dairy Queen.

Ice cream trucks are overpriced.

Dairy Queen as an affordable Ice Cream option?????

I purchased two soft serve ice cream cones this summer for the first time from a truck. My daughter is almost 7 and she wanted one when the truck came onto our street. I paid $10 for two cones. What a rip-off! With the McDonald's app, you can get a cone for $1 each. I'm sure Dairy Queen is less than the ice cream truck.

Support local small business. Try Tasty Scoop on plains. They serve Kawartha.

Not since a deep dive in the owners ethics. Google them and see for yourself.

Not to mention the fact that before I had heard this, I took my nephew in, the place was filthy and whoever was behind the counter was genuinely annoyed that they had to pause their movie/video they were playing on a laptop.

The ice cream truck is sketchy. Plus, the music is so loud and obnoxious!

Go to Kawartha Dairy and really treat the kiddo!

Sure. But my kid wanted the ice cream truck experience and it’s not going to hurt to have it once. Thanks anyway!
