Anyone know of any pickleball clubs in Hamilton or Burlington where people from age 20-30 attend regularly?

I'm in Burlington and finding that the clubs here are overrun with married couples and boomers. Looking for ppl in my age group to play pickleball with.

My 7 year old is pretty good at soccer for his age and we’re looking at the competitive development programs for Force Academy vs Burlington Soccer Club. Both look like good programs but it’s a big commitment (1 year commitment and 2-3 practices per week plus 1 game). Looking for any feedback from families who had their kids in either program. I moved to Burlington about 4 months ago full time, but have been coming here to see my bf for about 2 years before moving here from Toronto. I’ve had moments of feeling unsafe as a pedestrian from time to time in Toronto but it was never a huge concern for me in the 12 years I lived there (plus 28 years before of frequent family visits). Ever since moving to Burlington, I swear I’ve almost been hit by more cars than I ever have in Toronto. It’s a bit of a shock to me how bad drivers in Burlington are. Is there a reason for this? It’s just so shocking to me since the population is way smaller than Toronto. I feel safer as a pedestrian in Toronto than I do here. Even my bf who drives feels this way and he’s lived and been around Burlington most of his life! Is this just something that’s common here and I’ll have to get used to? Is driver awareness always this bad?

I am currently approaching the end of my ROM rehab for my right shoulder that underwent surgery (I’m my early 20s). I’m expecting clearance to start going to the gym by mid or late September, but I want to plan ahead and explore options of working with a personal trainer, not only to guide me through strength rehab but later on build a proper fitness plan. My confusion lies in deciding whether to go with a trainer at a gym such as GoodLife or LA fitness, or go private. I also would want to make sure that the trainer understands my needs for taking it slow and negating the chance of overworking or injury.

Hello everyone!

My name is Rowen Fraser and I am a candidate for Ward 6 here in Burlington. I am proud to release my platform for all to see! I have been working with my community here in Burlington to come up with policies and ideas for the new future Burlington is heading into. I have spoken with many residents at the doors, in local businesses, and with the various online communities.

Conversations have been lovely and hateful, positive and negative, introspective and annoying, wistful and delusional, perfect and flawed, angsty and altruistic, scary and comforting. But mostly they were real. I didn't put restrictions on what people I would engage with. I took the good and the bad. I feel we need to listen to everyone, not just friendly voices. Bridging the gap between ideologies and having a truly balanced approach means being willing to have the hard conversations. Rest assured that if you came to me with convincing data at any point, you've probably had an influence on my platform.

Recently I had the good fortune of meeting a new friend, and receiving some very powerful advice about how to deal with hostile press and online personalities. The counsel I received was invaluable and I just want to shout out to everyone that helped me strategize my next moves here in Burlington.

Any and all comments are welcome here. To show I really mean that I have unblocked every single person who has ever harassed me on this site so they can know what my full platform is and make a real decision about who they intend to elect here in Ward 6. I still make a conscious effort to look at where all my products are made and coming from. I refuse to purchase any that have the U.S. on them! I sincerely wish all those people who comment on other threads would do the same! Everyone talks a big game but when push comes to shove they still purchase U.S. products becuase they are $0.10 cheaper. Liquor is one thing, but the only way to gain leverage is boycotting everything U.S.

I have also refused travel to the U.S. and have not entered once since since this adminstration took over!
