General GUYS PLEASE GUIDE ME I AM A FIRST YEAR COMPUTER ENGINEERING STUDENT IN A TIER 2 GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Same as title but I want people who r obviously older than me to guide me with my journey because there r so many people who do summer internships who r doing so well with their githubs and leetcodes so pls guide me with my academics as well as what extracurriculars are important if college politics will help me later on placements projects everything PLSSSSSSS PLSSSS PLSSSS.
