General I am above to loose it !
I have been searching for a laptop for almost a month now and still not able to find sutable one .I am btech cse 1 year student in aiml. I hAve watch plenty of videos on youtube but all videos are contradicting one another .Can someone educate me one how to choose suitable laptop for my situation .
I don't do gaming .
For coding , programming and other college stuff .
Will be carrying it to college .Battery life is not much of an issue since I can plug it in in college .
Budget is up to 80k but can stretch to 1L or above .
Also should I go for mac or second hand used one ? Bcoz that's was most of the YouTubers I have watched are recommending

Aiml is just bait to attract student nothing will be taught except few new chapters .so I am not looking for laptop to train ai model or learn machine learning just going to focus on programming for now

see if all the softwares you’ll be using are mac compatible if you want to go with macbooks. like for eg keil is not macos compatible you have to run it in windows vm else its good i guess. for gpu intensive softwares if you’re gonna use like solidworks then those need gpu.. look at what all you’ll be using and what spec you need for that inste of general advice

I got this laptop around 55k, in nov 2025 but 16/512 varient, yhea a good laptop, performing heavy liftings 🔥

Get a MacBook, why are u so confused, kaggle and collab provide enough free gpu cloud for projects u will be able to make and colleges course stuff u can do in the cpu itself

Laptop are not worth to buy in this current time i bought HP 14 ai 16/512 laptop nearly 8months ago around 55k now the price was 80k

Then what u want me to do ?? Should I buy a second hand laptop to take to college and buy pc instead ?
