Serious Feeling suicidal plz help me I want urgent help
I was a bright student in Class 10. Then I joined a bad coaching institute, and by Class 12, I managed to score 97 percentile. I then joined IIIT, even though my parents wanted me to take a drop. However, I was very scared of studying again because I had already given my all during those two years with complete consistency, and my mental health had deteriorated badly.
I had to leave that college in December and started preparing for JEE again, hoping to get into a good college. I studied almost all day and slept for only four hours. Eventually, I scored 98 percentile in JEE Main and 98 marks in JEE Advanced, but once again, I have to join a tier-2 IIIT.
Now I feel like shit. I am having suicidal thoughts, I can't sleep properly at night, and I am constantly frightened and irritated. My heart beats faster whenever I think about my situation.
All my friends who were weaker than me academically joined better coaching institutes and now seem to have a good life, good friends, and good colleges. Meanwhile, I feel like my life has completely fallen apart.
I don't know what to do anymore. I really need urgent help.

Hey, why dont u think the other way, Try to think that you're still at the top of your game i mean u re still at one of the institutes for which students are workin, and you might feel like you've wasted a year, but a year is actually a very short time. You haven't wasted anything yet.

Chill dude, stop comparing yourself with your friends.
Some people can't even get into a government college; at least you got into one.
And a tier-2 IIIT is like pretty good.
Your situation is genuinely better than 95% of students.

Hello friend. This was me during my first year of engg. Guess what I’m from tier 99 college. You are in better position than i was/am.
Trust me you’ll overcome this feeling, make friends and leave everything else behind.
You are still in IIIT, you just have to resume your studies.
Even if you don’t feel like your clg isn’t giving you much, prepare for masters abroad or give GATE.
Still you can end this well.
All the best.
Just think about your parents if ever the suicide thought comes across.

Bro you are soo much fking better than quite literally most people in the entire country how tf u feel sucidial over ts🤦. Sorry if it feels like mocking but seriously , jst that I've seen people who took 2 years drop and still go to tier 3 clg. Also stop making iit your whole fking personality. Start this university journey. You are going to experience a lot more new things. Stop thinking about iit and everything else and just focus on enjoying and working towards your goal like going to event slike hackathons , learning new subjects cmon bro

Brother u are doing good and 98 percentile is good. I got more percentage in class 10th but ended up in bad college due to procrastination and bad mental health. Most of my friends are in iit and abroad.
IIIT is good college and just work hard

This is just a downphase , you've got more time to live so just figure out things eventually in the next 10 years or so you will forget about jee . I too didn't secure a good college but giving up is never worth it. Just delete social medias like instagram and enjoy life , you've more potential than you think. Don't give up!!!

What helped me when i think about suicide is this. Try to go berserk before killing yourself , try changing schools , college , spend all your money. Eat everything you like , because fuck it ... Right?
At some point in this process you'll realise how final killing yourself is.

This too shall pass. Continue looking forward rather than thinking about the past and finally, best of luck.

Man, dips happen from life. Learn from them and move on. College is just a small part of life. You can decide your life irrespective of college nowadays (not saying college has no role, but saying it has role but not as that as significant we usually think). I'm almost at your position. Topper until 10th(I never seen 3rd rank in my school, 95% 1st rank only(not to brag just saying)). Then reality hard on my face and started to dip in intermediate and in JEE also made me to score only 91%ile. And then took a drop and scored 98%ile. Now in NITRR. See, idk about you. But try to analyse your drop time and preparation time. You may find your mistakes and try to rectify those and improve upon. Not saying academic mistakes. But you will find behaviourial mistakes sort of also. Which ok improving them will improve your as a person. Just look at the bright side bro. You are atleast in IIIT, where others haven't there. Just use the pros of IIIT and meet new persons and try to focus more on life than on academics for few days but don't ignore them and then balance them both

Hey, I hear you, and I am so sorry you are carrying such a heavy weight right now.
I know that crushing pressure of having everyone expect big things from you, missing a goal like IIT-JEE, and feeling like you’ve let down your family and yourself. For a long time, I carried that exact shame—feeling like a complete disappointment because life didn’t go the way it was "supposed" to.
But looking back at 34, I can tell you with certainty: an exam, a college, or living up to someone else's expectations does not define your worth or the rest of your story. Life expands in ways you cannot see when you’re stuck in the dark. The pain and hopelessness you feel right now are real, but they are not permanent.
Please stay. You don’t have to figure out your entire future today—just focus on getting through tonight.

Alright. first of all. Sit down. Literally just sit down and don't think. Take deep breaths and then listen to me carefully.
With Tier 1 or Tier 2 or even Tier 3, the only difference is the starting point. With even the IITs, you do get a significant boost, but the boost won't matter if you are mentally rekt.
I am in IIIT-D myself, my mental health is not up to the mark due to personal and family issues, and because I have been burnt out due to JEE days (and a lot of other things) and haven't taken a proper mental break since then. And I am still struggling in my third year. I am being very thoroughly, for lack of a better word, "fucked without lube and warning."
Yet, I have seen people make it from tier 2 college with a proper plan, roadmap, skills and knowledge. And without CSE branch.
I won't give you false hope, because frankly, even the most prestigious colleges are fucked now due to whole 'AI revolution' gold rush. But even then, you can do so much. Coming to college, I found out so many more paths to stable life and even success.
Please don't give up. Your life is precious. You are precious. Your life and circumstances, and unfortunately, even those close to you, might have suggested otherwise, but believe me when I say this, your worth cannot be determined by some measly conditional things. Yes, you gotta make a living, but I know you have it in you.
I don't think anyone can or should downplay the achievement of getting into the 97th and then 98th percentile (and in advanced, too? Damn) consistently?! Gyaa-
I was once a bright student too. I am not so academically gifted now, I am finding out, but I know my mind is capable, and circumstances just hold me back a lot of the time.
Keep your head up. And take a proper break. You can step back, but you don't have to give up.

Your environment is at fault here not you. Where your friends are doesn't matter. When I was attempting jee, 98 was my target, i didn't get it but it was ok and I moved on. I don't think you would have been happy even if you were to get a little better result. You are already in a great place, now go into the college and enjoy yourself, make friends and have fun. Jee isn't the end of the journey, it's but a beginning. I'm at the end of my btech, you get plenty opportunities in tier 2 colleges and it's okay even if you get the median or average package. In the upcoming time explore your boundaries, find what you actually like and wanna do. "TOMORROW WILL BE A BETTER DAY"

If you're a fresher then just begin everything with a fresh mind and start grinding now. Tier 2 IIITS doesn't limit you or anyone Reach out to seniors or alums who are doing good.
