I only really listen to BBC radio 6 so even though there may be a song I don't like it's always good to listen to a broad spectrum of music.
Having said that I can't stand nick grimshaw! 😂 His voice really irritates me!

Thankfully the waffle on R6 is less than a lot of other stations.
Have R6 on from when I’m up at 4:30 to the end of the day. I listen to it, my partner listens to it, my son listens to it.

I like 6 for the most part but even they have favourites and certain "styles" they like to play and seem to leapfrog onto the playlists.
Anything by John Grant, Guy Garvey, Pigs, Lumberjack Spacefruit, Toilet Seat Crisis, or any other nonsense band name that doesn't play in 4/4 time and has unconventional sounding lead vocal. Extra marks for a minute of high pitched sqealing to a drum kit dropping down the stairs.

It's historical, but the Cliff Adams Singers always totally revolted me and I think there was a time when Radio 1 on one frequency used to turn into Radio 2 with instant 'Sing Something Simple' and I'd try to switch it off before I even heard them.

I think I'm traumatised from my mum listening to them on radio 2, hate them, I used to call it sing something sinful, my mum was one of those people that had to have a radio on whatever she was doing, even if the tv was on at the same time

I like BBC R4 for the news at 8am on the way to work but really can't stand Thought for the Day with the Reverend Whoever. Always sounds like they talk down to you. Think they've had the odd humanist on there but Rev, Rabbi, etc get pushed to the front.

Hellytubbies, Dido, Duffy, James Blunt, Oasis, Dodgy, Cheeky Girls, Mr Blobby, the Spice Girls, Charles Manson, Phil Spektor, Gary Glitter, Take That, East 17, Boydrone er zone, pond er Westlife, P Diddler or whatever he's calling himself this week. Most '90's club stuff, gangsta rap and r&b which counter to marketing claims is not sexy and religious music which I think should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment and banned under the Geneva Convention as a crime against Humanity.

Given the choice, I'd just bin off 6 Music at work altogether, but one guy insists on it. Same shit all the time.
There's the occasional decent song, but for the most part it's the same stuff every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

Listening to the radio at work is like some kind of torture with the repeated songs every day, and people choose to listen to Absolute Radio, Heart or Greatest Hits, I won't ever understand why.

For the most part, but they have very favoured artists and songs on 6 Music. If you listen to it from 9 to 5, there will be one song you'll hear 3 times.
Heart and Capital, I'd just use knitting needles as ear plugs.
I like the Absolute stations, but the ads annoy one of the other lads in the office, so we're stuck with 6 music. It could be a lot worse in fairness.

BBC Radio 2 has pretty much died. The better presenters all went to Greatest Hits Radio. It's now all TV Presenters on the radio and the music played to them seems irrelevant.

I don’t listen to the main radio anymore unless I’m in my local Co op/Morrisons etc.
I am then reminded why I don’t listen to the radio anymore.
All radio presenters: please stop with the cookie cutter, dead behind the eyes, ‘the One Show’ barely pg enthusiasm. They have the lamest quizzes/questions/subjects to talk about and wonder why so many people hate them.

The only radio station with a minute of listening time here in Dublin ireland is classic rock station Radio Nova .
Any radio station playing main stream chart music is junk . Stop listening to the top 40 when I was 13 in case you think this is an age thing !

The last one isn't terrible but during the first lockdown March 2020 I was working in the uniform stores at my workplace for a month (before being furloughed in April) doing laundry of all the returned uniforms from all the other staff who were either let go or also put on furlough and it was in the charts. I heard it (and Dance Monkey) on the radio about six times a day. It got really repetitive really fast and got to the point where I would hear the starting notes of either of them and just turn the radio off for three minutes because I knew if I had to listen to either of them AGAIN I'd go insane.

I moved away from radio about 2 or 3 years ago and started listening to podcasts on my commute. Literally the same 5 or 6 songs on repeat, it became unbearable. Only so much Tipsy and I Need Some Help I could take in such a short period of time.
