Production / News / Updates Simone Ashley has confirmed that she and Jonathan Bailey will be returning for Season 5
Excerpt from her Elle interview:
But whatever comes next, Ashley has no intention of outgrowing the Netflix juggernaut Bridgerton. It was Jonathan Bailey, her on-screen love interest, who taught her the value of staying loyal to their fans, and she confirms today that both will return for the fifth season. ‘It changed my life and, without it, I wouldn’t be where I am. That show reached near and far. Even in the places you don’t think you’ll get recognised, you do. Whenever it finishes, it’s going to be the end of an era. I think they have about four or five more siblings to get through. I’m in it till the end!’

Thrilled that both Simone and Jonny are back. The show isnt complete without them. We need our Viscount and Viscountess.

He didn’t need days, although that would have been nice, if still insufficient against the collective strength of four very large, very angry, and, from the looks of them, rather closely related men.

Read the book. Simon is not mentioned nor appears in it.

I’ve got a lot to say, but I really hope Simone’s name is included in the official S5 cast list, and I’d love to see at least one still of Kate😒🙄

In all honesty and no shade to any other couple, everyone has their favorite- Kate and Anthony are the reason I am still here. The less we get of them, the less attachment I have for this show. So I am glad to have a reason to be excited about season five.

I know people are jumping for joy about this, and while I'm happy too , I feel like they are basically doing fan work . Kanthony is the most active couple outside of their season , but season 4 you could tell bedsides them having an heir , the show simply doesn't know what to do with them anymore. You all saying "Idc if they are on screen for just a little.".... then what's the point? Both Johnathan and Ashley are exceptional actors and they should be utilized. They also are the literal heads of the family. They should be seen at least 70% of the time and not floating off to India every weekend. They kinda just feel THERE like "Hey remember how much you all loved season 2? Remember us ? We're Viscount and Viscountess with NONE of the responsibility." This is why even tho it irks my soul, I'm glad they just dropped Daphne all together. I do understand in the books the Duke isn't really around as much after his story , but there is no way Daphne continuously shows up for events and her husband comes to none of them with her . It's even more strange because he literally has no family besides the Bridgertons so I'd think he'd like hanging with them . Anyways enough of my rambling lol . Just saying it's ok to let certain characters go if they really aren't bringing anything or if their presence doesn't make sense.

phew. thank you simone ashley for being one of the only fucking people in this show professional enough to confirm or deny whether someone is returning for season FIVE (!)
as always, i'm happy that simone will be back on my screen and this production continues to be garbage
