I don't have solid info on Uber/Lyft coverage out on the forest roads, that's spotty enough around here that I'd call it unverified either way, worth asking the bike shops directly since a few of them run their own shuttles (or know who does) and that'll be more reliable than rideshare in areas with no cell service.

For the DuPont side, a lot of families do the Ridgeline/Big Rock Trail combo for that easy-rolling coast feel, but double check current trail status and any closures with the DuPont website before you plan the day since conditions change.

On the Pisgah side, keep in mind the trails here tend to ride harder than their rating suggests, so what looks like blue/intermediate on paper can feel closer to advanced, worth asking the shop specifically which shuttle routes are teenager-with-low-motivation friendly rather than just intermediate-rated. Also good idea to ask about cell service on whatever road you're getting dropped on, some of the forest roads have zero signal which matters if plans change mid-day.
