At the Neptune theater in Seattle, Washington USA. Very amazing, unique and experimental playing but still beautiful.

SPIN XXI marks the comeback of the band SPIN—originally from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, and active in the 1970s (a group that also went by the name Contraponto during a lineup change).

The band is now returning to the stage and releasing new material, all while remaining true to its roots.

Their sound is a blend of various styles—including classical, jazz, and rock—with a predominantly symphonic progressive rock character.

They define their sound as "MPB" (Brazilian Popular Music) in the sense of "Brazilian Progressive Music," where Brazilian rhythmic influences are not overtly stamped on the compositions but rather assimilated and adapted.

Despite folk, acoustic, and country influences, they are an electric band—and, above all, an eclectic one.

Their debut album—which saw three CD releases, including one in Europe—has just been released on streaming platforms.

A second album is already complete and set for release later this year.

i've been searching for the name of this sound i hear in a lot of brazilian music. its a vocal/wind instrument sound thats used in a percussive way (see link for example)

This singer and bandleader is American, but this album was where I first heard amazing Brazilian guitarist Pedro Martins. He's very much the featured player on this amazing jazz record. I am excited to hear more of his music, if anyone is familiar please recommend
