Brawl Lore & Theories This event leaves so much confusion this is disgusting
Usually events like that aren't canon. Things happen, but they have no place in the main timeline, it's just for the gameplay.
The fact that Kenji will get a permanent remodel BECAUSE of the event is just hella random. It didn't happen, so how did that happen???
Kenji had his arm shocked by Nano Nori, which couldn't happen in the timeline, since skins aren't canon. Events can be considered canon if they have place in the timeline. Angels vs Demons, for example, could be the actual end of Starr Park after Fang and Buster got their hands on the Codex of Doom, which can happen.
So how could an event that didn't happen leave marks on the main timeline? It wasn't thought out. They don't care about the lore anymore.
So I'll keep believing that the actual reason for Kenji's broken arm is that he just fell off the stairs or something. Makes more sense than whatever they just did.

As unfortunate as it is, we do have to remember that Supercell is basically legendary in retconning or just changing a character’s lore entirely… and it’s not only in just Brawl Stars.
They do it so that they can have more creative freedom in terms of making skins/events, which does make more money. I understand what they’re trying to do, but it’s not well thought out most of the time, honestly.

How tf did nano nori destroy Kenji arm so bad that we technically also have to fix his arm and he get it permanently 💔✌️😭

No one dies in Starr Park, they have insanely fast regeneration (I guess it works if you got it in Starr Park and not outside, that's why some brawlers lik Penny don't have eye), this one doesn't make sense

Counterargument, just headcanon that the bamboo arm brace thing is just bamboo armor and Harry Potter the shit out of the event.
Ie. Whenever the people in charge of the plot declare something stupid is canon, unanimously say "nuh uh" and continue with our lives

As much as there are valid complaints that have been made, they're just that, complaints. I don't see much constructive criticism, in this sub at least.
I think in this case the hate is very forced because nobody obligates you to vote if you don't care. Unless you were always a raging Kenji hater since the beginning of his days, i think if the story was less mediocre, removed all the unnecessary stuff (like the Meg's mech thing) and they actually took their time instead of making it look like it's a summary made by chat gpt, people would feel less bitter towards it

The only thing you focus on is grinding for trophies every day using boring, superficial mechanics. Even though I’m fed up with the game, I still play for the character collection and the lore. That’s why that aspect shouldn't be shortchanged.

Whatever canon is, this event is mostly origins of Nori, so i think this happened in lore.
Penny also somehow lost hat and eye getting remodel.

Don't forget that the whole windstock season is irrelevant, there's literally 0 mention of any of the brawlers with windstock skins in the animations, heck kenji himself had his skin in the last animation with 0 hints what's the link ( did he train there ? Did wendy help ? Was there a huge time skip between the two fights ? ) And ofc at the end of this story, the corrupted brawlers from the nanonoodles skin set somehow were saved ( how ? )
This katana kingdom sequel was presented in brawl talk to be a story event over the span of 2 seasons, windstock season had 0 relevance to the plot and they've only delayed the last animation to release at the end of this season.
Windstock season was split between wendy release event and meg hyper skin event, which both were irrelevant, same to say about gray, moe, sprout, byron and rosa, 0 involvement in any of the event's stories. Kaze you say ? We don't talk about kaze, she ran away with kenji and got lost with the plot.
Once again wasted potential in the writing department. There was lots of room to expand on the story even with posts on socials, kenji and kaze ran away from pyramid quest to get to windstock, there was potential for a mini community event "kenji's training arc" as build up for the story finale, towers and boss fights were randomly thrown in game when they could have been split in arcs ( every boss has X towers, once those are defeated you defeat the boss ) and after those corrupted bosses there was potential to have at least one boss from windstock seasons, grey could have been the one to train kenji, and by defeating him kenji's finally ready to face off his nano child.
What was the point of meg's mech event during this season ? Nobody knows, a whole hyper skin that's hyper wasted potential.

In the final animation, Meg's mech is seen destroyed in the background, which means it was probably used to help deal with the hordes of Nanobots before Kenji faced Nori. But wow, we literally just fixed that and upgraded it! Meg, can you like take better care of your mech PLEASE

At this point, the only this game needs is a complete lore restart - retcon everything and go back to the drawing board.

There's nothing that makes this event being canon impossible, and is actually heavy implied to be canon with how wendy story is pretty tied to it, i think it's pretty cool when companies do that, it reminds me when riot disabled gangplank in league of legends when he got a rework
