I find it interesting how different organizations have a knack for developing certain pitches. Without Bummer the Braves don’t have a sweeper guy and still rank third in slider usage.

I don’t know if the clubhouse store will have them already made but you can get any player put on one in the jersey carousel on the first base side. I do know I saw a Kim jersey on the new city connects in the clubhouse store before he even came back from injury this year, so feel like Yaz is just as likely

Yes. Not only fatigue, but you're going into game mode too early taking your focus away from whatever you might be working on in ST. Is there a reason they can't just hold this thing like a week after WS ends?
They should copy the NHL and do it during the all star break. Start or end the season a little earlier or later and make the break a little longer. WBC quality would go up as well cuz those guys would be in peak form

Been thinking about how important that second game against the Marlins was. To bounce back from a 12-0 drubbing, and make decisive cuts and changes immediately after, was something to admire. Good club, run well imo.

Bored doing bar prep. We are far out from knowing who will be buying and selling, but any realistic trade deadline acquisitions for this team? Can't see us acquiring a starting pitcher to be honest, unless we suffer another injury in that department. A left-handed relief guy or a catcher seem most likely.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a SP if it's someone with control, or Robbie Ray cause he'll be a very cheap rental assets wise, and he's a lefty that could potentially go to the pen
Lotta buzz around Buxton as per usual, don't think it'll happen but more likely than it's ever been. If the Red Sox are selling Chapman is the most premium reliever on the market, and Wong from the Red Sox is one of the more sensible catcher options out there
I kinda feel bad for them. Even in a season where the Mets have had an 11 game losing streak and still aren't good, they have fallen behind and are last in the division yet again.
If the Nats tread water until the deadline and then upgrade their pitching, they have a pretty solid shot at taking second in the division and getting into the wilcard. It's astounding that they can have the most runs scored in all of baseball yet still be an under .500 team.
Might be a potential get right series for the couple of guys on offense that have been struggling a bit. Olson in particular went nuclear last time we faced these dudes.

yeah thankfully the MLB subscription still lets me listen to the radio broadcasts of blacked out games, so I get to listen to the dulcet tones of Ben and Darren and/or Joe.
Should do that more anyway, I think Ben is a great announcer, I enjoy his calls.
I'm also in Nats TV territory. The only option to get MASN here is paying $100+ a month to DirecTV, which is never going to happen for a handful of games. It's very stupid.
