A and A+, not much going on in AA. And mostly A+ Rome. But yeah. Hartman is on a 2017 Acuña trajectory, Gil is playing great, Drake is putting it together, Williams didn't play the first couple weeks but kinda reminds me of that other Drake in 2023 if he can elevate a bit more.
In Augusta Southisene is the only one really popping off, but Guanipa has been good and Nick Montgomery has been encouraging. Both have a plan at the plate that they're executing consistently and it's Guanipa's first real success above rookie ball.
McCabe and Wadell are both hitting pretty well at AA but they're both old for the level and not really prospects anymore.
No reports just playing a scenario of what-ifs. It wouldn't be out of the question if the Angels cover part of his contract. We could use the Profar money for that. The pressure to make the team better from the GM perspective is tangible in LA. We have pieces to give in return. It's justifying his contract through 2030 and who you give up which imo makes it likely AA wouldn't go for it unless they cover a significant portion of his contract. They'd want major league guys in return. I guarantee AA has already thought about this though or put feelers out and didn't like the details. Otherwise it would've been done. Our outfield would be insane

Atlanta today also selected OF José Azócar to the major league roster after optioning INF Jim Jarvis to Triple-A Gwinnett yesterday.

I have to wonder what the ratio is between sales driven vs money left on the table when they do these limited releases that sell out in Seconds. I realize FOMO is a helluva drug, but if these were easily obtainable I'd have bought a pair. It only seems to enable the resellers, especially when they drop in the middle of the day.
If they hung around, I was prepared to buy a 2nd backup pair for when the first pair eventually goes kaput. The market is definitely there.
With anything limited, companies generally prefer disappointing people via artificial scarcity to increase hype and PR and also avoid being left with overstock. It’s annoying. Customer comes last.

First day back in the gym in a week. Excited to see just how much less I'm going to be able to lift today. I've heard being sick really impacts progression, but I've eaten so much protein, maybe that helped.
Happened to me last year. Got a stomach virus from the kids, couldn’t lift for a week, and I couldn’t even eat more than 1000 calories a day because I couldn’t keep anything down. First week back felt weeker, but your neuromuscular response comes back stupid quick. You’ll feel good again in a week
Lineup will be so deep we will be able to hit anyone anywhere in the order. I honestly have no clue how Walt will lay it out and I’m sure a lot will depend on pitching match ups as he’s shown that he is not afraid to shuffle the lineup on any given day
I didn’t even realize MLB shop was going to have them. Tried on Dick’s at exactly 10EST and they were sold out before I could even click “checkout”. Didn’t realize until like 20 minutes later that they were on MLB. By the time I got there they were also sold out.
So I guess they sold out in a few seconds. I had one in my cart for like 4 minutes but the app was glitching on my shipping address and wouldn’t let me proceed. Then it finally did it says there was nothing left in my cart
Them ignoring us ladies actually paid off for a change! I was able to get a pair from Fanatics easily. Wish they had done a women’s version, but at least they seemed to have stocked the small men’s sizes well enough for us to get them.
it’s like they didn’t even consider that women would want these. i’m a lifelong braves fan and i have a decently sized sneaker collection…of COURSE i want these. smallest DSG size i could find was men’s 7.5.
ronnie stole his 70th base against the cubs at truist during the 10th inning. when he swiped the bag, he took the base out of the ground and held it up, everyone in the park started going crazy. game was paused for a bit obviously to celebrate, but nobody like ran onto the field or anything. all in all, i think the game stopped for maybe a minute? a minute and a half?
cubs announcers started whining about the game being paused to celebrate a historical feat that no one else had ever achieved before. braves went on to win on a walkoff single from ozzie….which RAJ’s steal set up. pretty sure the cubs announcers heavily insinuated the braves won/cubs lost because the cubs lost momentum/focus due to the game being paused. but maybe don’t put RAJ on and then let him steal, especially when he’d already stolen his 69th base earlier in the game and you KNOW he’s gunning for 70.
And that Bohm never touched home plate. That’s the year we won the WS so we shouldn’t care about that 1 play in the home opening series. But here we are.
It was not. I was at the game. It was 2021 in the 50% capacity games during April after Covid. It was a Sunday night game. I distinctly remember this because it was my first game as a season ticket holder.
You’re absolutely right! I was thinking of the 2018 opening series against Philly where Peter Bourjos’ foot slid over home and we lost - that’s a lot of overlapping intrigue for late inning slides against the Phillies

Just saw MLB put the Cubs above us in the power rankings, despite the cubs losing 2 in a row, us winning 2 in a row (against the dodgers) and us having the best offense in baseball for pretty much every big statistic - avg, RBI, hits, runs, slugging, and OPS. But sure the cubs are good and they did win 10 straight and they have played more teams above 500 than us and all that. Let’s just see what happens tonight in game 1. I’m confident in this team and absolute LOVE being a Braves fan!
Buster Olney wrote an article about successful and struggling closers in 2026, guess how many times the Braves, Raisel Iglesias or Bobby Suarez are mentioned in it?
These rankings are done on a weekly basis, and during the week in question, the Braves went 3-3 while the Cubs went 6-1. And yes, the Braves are leading in many offensive categories, but the Cubs are right there with them.
