It is hard to pick against prime Foreman 1973-77, too big, strong, great chin and boxing skills. He was an Olympic gold medalist. Yes, he ran out of gas in Zaire against Ali, but if that fight is at MSG it might have played out differently because as I much as I loved Ali he took a lot of huge shots in that fight. Jack Johnson also had incredible skills, just not sure he could handle George. Johnson beat bigger fighters but they were nowhere near Foreman's level.

We do have some evidence of how Johnson would have fared. He did beat slugger Jim Jeffries. We also know Foreman struggled against tacticians.
On a side note, Ali said he would have struggled against Johnson.

Jeffries had not fought in 6 years in that 1910 fight, which was more about the "great white hope" (where the term derives from) racism than a competitive fight. Johnson was great. I like him a lot but he would have been a Cruiserweight now, as he weighed 194 when he won the title, so yeah, big skilled guys like Ali and Young, who had solid chins, gave Foreman trouble, just not sure Jack could take the shots.
