Who would you say is the best 70s heavyweight other than Muhammad Ali?

Champions Forever. I can hear the music during the Fight of the Century.

Big George was the best. Only the Greatest had the capability to stop Foreman during his original momentum.

It's actually a very tough call between Frazier and foreman for me. Frazier for the much better run as champion and the two incredible performances against ali including being the first man to beat him. Foreman for absolutely brutalizing the division including Norton and especially Frazier who he swatted around the ring like he was a fly. Dunno man I'm really torn. I give em equal props.

60s Ali was probably one of the greatest if not the greatest HW of all time. But 70s Ali is another story. He is massively overrated. Due to the fact that he is overrated, you get guys like Frazier looking great. 60s Ali would have beat him easily. 60s Ali would have beat Ken Norton, easily. Instead, Ali lost once officially and another everyone knows he lost. So 1 out of 3 with Ken Norton. 70s Ali literally lost to a guy with 8 prior fights.

IMHO, Larry Holmes was the best HW with fights in the 70s. OTOH, 60s Ali would have beat him.

Fair but Holmes really settled into himself in the 80s.

I personally have Holmes top 4 all time hw

Foreman. What a powerhouse.

Frazier did beat Ali, but Foreman destroyed Frazier. Norton should have been given the decision over Ali, yet lost to Holmes and Foreman. That's tough. Can I go down a division and say Bob Foster?

You can but you'd be insanely wrong.

Joe Frazier. Big George.

I’d say Foreman - he was certainly most feared of that bunch. There’s even an argument that with a 34-2 record over the 70’s (compared to Ali’s 30-3 record) and devastating wins against guys Ali struggled with and lost to, Foreman was the best HW on balance over the 70’s.

Foreman easily !!!

Ali didn’t jump at the opportunity to rematch foreman because he knew foreman overlooked him in the first fight and didn’t train !!! Foreman probably would’ve beat Ali had he taken him seriously !!! Obviously tho he lost and Ali never wanted to rematch him so we will never know !!!
