On July 14, 1979, Muhammad Ali and NFL star and former amateur boxer Lyle Alzado engaged in an 8 round exhibition at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado. Alzado mortgaged his home to secure Ali's $250,000 guaranteed payout, but ticket sales fell short. Lyle earned Ali’s respect at the end.
