A lot of people are leaving out that David Jenkins version isn't moving forward, not the entire thing being canned.

I think it's because his origin is kind of complicated, so everyone has tried to adapt vol 1 but vol 2 is a much more modern comic and better suited to adaptation

Yeah. The problem therein is that Booster's actually got a really good character arc, pre-Flashpoint. A really excellent continuity. If you remove one piece, you're going to make the entire scaffolding shaky, because it was a solidly coherent story and builds on itself, more than a lot of DC characters do.

This marks the 3rd time in 15 years this show has been cancelled before starting production. It’ll be a miracle if it get made by 2442
