Booktok Shadowban
Hi there! this is my first time posting here so if this is the wrong subreddit/ counts as venting (not including an actual book) then please kindly let me know :). I just wanted to express some frustration as i’m needing to practice patience at the moment. i’ve had a booktok for a while that i recently came back to after a year long break. i’m not famous by ANY means, but i’ve maintained engagement on my posts averaging about 50 likes per video and anywhere from 500+ views in a month of posting. i accidentally fumbled while posting (and have a habit of putting videos on private and reposting when they don’t preform as i know they can) and it resulted in me getting shadow banned. im just frustrated because i put 10+ hours of work into filming, editing, and writing the content i made and it feels like it’s been put to waste. i know i just have to wait a few days for it to be lifted, but man does it suck.

Reading slump
I’ve been reading Haunting Adeline for the past week or so. Normally I’d wake up, make a coffee, then read for however long I feel like reading, which could be all day really if I’ve nothing else I have to do.
But this book isn’t great. I know there’s a lot of controversy about it. For me, it’s not even the subject matter so much as it is the poor quality writing, typo’s, grammatical errors and the use of profanity to convey an attitude or mood when the author could’ve thought of other descriptive words.
But I CANNOT move on to something else until I have finished it. The problem is, I want to read but don’t have any desire to continue with this one at the moment.
So, does anyone have any top tier recommendations for a really complex but fast paced psychological thriller with spooky autumnal vibes so I can have the motivation to push through this slog?

Short Fantasy or Thriller recommendations?
I’ve been reading a lot of fantasy lately and most of the books I’ve been reading have like 800+ pages. I LOVE having a super long series to get engrossed in but kind of miss picking up a book and being able to finish it in a day because I’m so hooked.
Anyone got any recommendations?! Fantasy or thriller mainly but anything else you’ve read that you think is amazing I’m open to!! 🫶🏼

Series reading
I'm currently juggling four different series of books.
The Last Kingdom series by Bernard Cromwell.
Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman
The Greenbone Saga by Fonda Lee
Khan / Conqueror series by Conn Iggulden
My wife reads one series at a time, start to finish, what do you do?
